+Thomas B Yeah, we've done that a few times but w/ about 50/50 success. Maybe it's the lack of labels... or the lack of website. Will have to try those ingredients next time!

Came in to have a coffee and work for the afternoon, but their Internet filtering is way too restrictive. Can't use my company VPN, IRC, ssh, etc. Coffee is OK, but I better finish it quickly and find somewhere else to go :(

My wife and I had a one night stay here. Woman at front desk was super nice, room was clean. Way better than I expected from the reviews here.

I had a broken hinge that needed welding. I followed the instructions on the website and mailed in my glasses. UPS sent me a notification that my glasses had been delivered, and within a couple hours I got a phone call describing the prescribed repair, what to expect (won't be visually noticable, but would lose some flexibility). It was a Friday, and he said he expected to complete the work over the weekend. Glasses arrived the following Friday - repair looks good. My assumption was that the glasses would be returned using ground/basic shipping on Monday. Package wasn't shipped till Wednesday (got an e-mail notification that day w/ a tracking number). But they were shipped USPS priority 2-day (insured), so turnaround time still met my expectations. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is hard to guesstimate what a repair will cost before you send it in. The website advertises $29 for repair with no footnotes, but the process that you'll get an accurate quote once the glasses have been received. Repair/shipping came to $55.95 for me. I found that price fair, but I'd liked to have a better idea before shipping my glasses out.

I had them insulate and seal my house and vent a fan through the attic. They seem to have done a good job, but it was far from smooth. The estimation visit took much longer than I expected, likely because they were training a new guy. Once I got the bid they were ready to start immediately. I asked for some additional work at that time (install a stove vent) and the owner agreed to look at it, but never did. I couldn't get phone calls returned from the owner - evidently due to some other "big" job they had going on at the same time. The day of the job they told me they'd messed up the quote - it was several minutes on the phone of confusion and apologies until I realized the job was actually going to be cheaper for me. Ultimately a good thing, but confusing. Part of the bid was to vent out a fan - the owner gave me a pretty convincing explanation about why they should vent one way instead of another, even though it'd be more complex. Later I discovered the installer did it the simpler way, apparently because it was easier. After completion, they had to return to re-run a blow test since they'd forgotten to record numbers needed for a rebate - again, seems like this was blamed on "a new guy", though a different new guy than the first one. Luckily I work from home so it wasn't too inconvenient. The rebate process was very smooth.

Yeah, the growler filling policy is ludicrous. The staff is told they can only fill growlers purchased there for "health reasons", as if their logo is some kind of sanitizer. Of course, our waitress knew better, but she wasn't allowed to part from the company line. I've been there 3 times and enjoyed the food/beer. But, now that I know how stupid the management thinks their customers must be, I don't think I'll be back.
