In our case architects are the first port of call on all potential developments. The architect has to be familiar with council and town planing requirements but market trends in the area.
Great article and information

Completely agree with this trend and as more and more companies are looking at this option for various reasons, office space developments will need to move with the times and also adjust.

On a positive note some of the surplus office space will be simply converted to affordable apartments, and makes complete sense, living and working in close proximity will be a very attractive alternative for some.

The next question being the car parking industry, as a result of this trend demand for parking will decrease dramatically.

Schools, day care, even aged care are just a few that will see the benefit of moving down this path and re-locating to the CBD

As a lot of us have forecasted with so much choice and where and how we live it appears inner city and apartment living is a decision many are making when considering a place to call home.
The increase in renovations is also a sign for those who are happy with a location they currently live in renovation is the preferred option, rather than move further out and a new home.
