Sleek property with modern quarters & city vistas, plus a spa, upscale restaurant & rooftop lounge.- Google
"The corner room with floor-to-ceiling windows on two walls was impressive."
"This has to be the worst hotel experience that I have ever had in my life."

Great place for a get-a-way! Loved everything about the hotel. Very nice touches. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the valet. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is walking distance from the best parts of Chicago and only a short drive from everywhere else of significance. The rooms are very fairly priced; I recommend the tranquility suite. Also, the staff is very cordial and of the highest integrity. I accidentally left valuables in the room safe, and they returned them to me within 24 hours. A refreshing, pleasant surprise. This place is my go-to hotel in Chicago.

Frequently visitor for years at this property & want to share why I LOVE this property so much. This hotel will go above and beyond for you at any costs & their hotel management Ramsey, all hotel from desk staff & even cliff in reservations is one of the best in Chicago! Even checking out the pet friendly freestyle restaurant below where I met lanisa the manager who helped my pet with a dog friendly set up at brunch on the patio & accommodated my large group. Recently stayed here for the week while in town for work, was checked in & set up by the Manager Ramsey who always & continues to go above & beyond at check in making sure everything is correct in the room & was the way we wanted it. Went up stairs to check out the special events at Vertigo where I was greeted by a manager Shannon who showed me around making me feel at home. Engaged with some conversations with your bartenders Donnie & Mike who kept me laughing all night introducing me to others in the city who frequently visited as well. One of my guests was extremely foreign & having difficulty with the International cell phone service while in town performing on tour in Chicago (from out of country) & met your employee Sean strange who let her uses his cell phone that had service and even accompanied her to retrieving their friends downstairs then escorts them all up to the table since there was broken communications on how to get to the venue & even got one of the gentleman a bottle of water because he did not drink alcohol... Wow your staff is simply amazing! Upon check out from my weekend stay at the hotel I left my jewelry in the room did not notice for a few days until it was turned in by Mrs Garcia who is a honest employees working in house keeping at the hotel. Once I noticed my jewelry was missing a week later I called Gino Bartucci my contact at the Dana hotel. Gino called front desk staff also had lost & found reach out to me directly where I was contacted by the Director of Security to tell me that indeed their staff member who works in house keeping Mrs Garcia turned in my jewelry after discovering it when cleaning the room. What incredible staff your hotel has. Everyone went above & beyond to make sure my jewelry was located & the honesty shown in getting me back my jewelry that has such sentimental value it can never be replaced is beyond awesome. You guys are like family & I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I am in town. THANK YOU!

researched a lot of hotels in Chicago and decided to stay at Dana Hotel and Spa based on the reviews I read online and pictures that I saw. I was very pleased with the Hotel. The location is in the center of downtown on State Street, two or 3 blocks away from the Millennium Mile. There is a lot of action there but the room was quite at night. The hotel smelled great. The scent is like walking into a spa. We had a Corner King Deluxe City View and it was very nice for the two of us. The room was clean and the bathrooms were fully stocked with full sized shampoo, conditioner, and lotion and body soap. Robes and slippers were also in the room. The staff was very nice and friendly and the restaurant attached to the hotel, was a good eat too. I love this place and would stay again and recommend it to anyone on their first trip to Chicago. Go Bears!!!!

While I did enjoy the view, the room comforts, and the staff (especially the valet and the bartenders at the Vertigo) the construction from the floor above me and the constant horns blowing from the street below made it near impossible to rest during the day. I would highly recommend a room around the middle of the floors (8-18) ending in an odd number. (Away from State St.) Remember, the higher floor you are on, the louder the fire engines sound..... But overall it was a pleasant stay. Great beds, and nice showers and if your lucky, that blonde will still be standing nude in her living room showing off at the condo across the street. Lol

I wish I could give less then one star for this awful hotel! Where do I begin it was my actual Birthday and I had gotten a suite to share with a small group of friends. The plan was to go to the vertigo sky lounge after and have a great time. The night did not go like that, by the time we got out of the lounge to go back to the hotel room because my friends have left their jackets in the room, the most rude and ignorant security guard stops us from elevator! He then proceeds to kick all of us out of the elevator and tells us that no one is allowed to go up, even my boyfriend and I who had paid for the room! I was infuriated and now my friends were becoming upset, we had done nothing and nothing was said. The guard then begins to threaten us with the police and tells us we have to come back the next day! First we were not even loud, we had pay for a suite, no one was staying the night....there guard had nothing on us. Eventually we go up to our room just my boyfriend and I, to hear a knock on the door with FOUR police officers kicking us out of our room! Not only is it my birthday but I am crying out of anger and frustration! this night was the most rude and disrespectful hotel experience I have ever had! I am definitely going to corporate, since not only did we pay more then 700 dollars that night but didn't even get to stay the night! Please I am telling you the service here is disgusting....

Dana hotel & spa is an intimate boutique hotel whose staff truly care about its guests. From the doormen to the front desk, everyone was very kind and tried to be as helpful as possible. The rooms (and the hotel as a whole) has a very modern feel, mixed with some Industrial elements. All of the rooms that I've stayed in at the Dana have had floor to ceiling windows, giving you an excellent view of River North and the loop. I've been here before several times and I will continue to come back.

Small but nice rooms. Excellent and responsive service. Trendy. Good views on the upper floors, ask for an end room - they have small balconies.
