We’re excited to announce our partnership with +Fitbit and to be using their fitness trackers in the fight against breast cancer. The Breast Cancer Weight Loss (BWEL) study, will begin in August and will be led by Dr. Jennifer Ligibel to find out if weight loss can help prevent breast cancer recurrence.

On September 24, 2015, in a sixth floor room at Boston Children’s Hospital, 5-year-old Logan Lesselroth pressed the button that started the transfer of his newly harvested blood stem cells to his 3-year-old sister, Gianna.
“This,” Gianna told him, “is a gift from your body.”

With an estimated 8,500 new cases of skin cancer diagnosed in the U.S. every day, it is important that you not only protect yourself from the sun’s UV rays, but also regularly check your skin for anything out of the ordinary. When doing a self exam be sure to follow the ABCDEs.
