Precision medicine, also called personalized medicine, describes tailoring medical treatment for a person and his or her disease in order to give the most effective care possible. Precision medicine uses information such as inherited genes, lifestyle and environmental factors, and molecular characteristics of the disease.
The webcast will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 12:00PM-1:00PM EST. Dr. Stover is a Medical Oncologist & Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. His primary focus is translational breast cancer research through the application of computational ‘big data’ and experimental approaches, with a specific focus on women diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. He is a practicing clinician, caring for patients with breast cancer at the Susan F. Smith Center for Women’s Cancers at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
