When schools don't have clean water or safe structures, or when hunger drowns out a teacher's lessons, learning is harder than it should be.

Your congregation can help create safe, welcoming learning spaces in East Africa: church.cwsglobal.org/fund-a-program/school-safe-zones/

Zero to 25 in three months. That's the progress that Anlong Vaeng village in Cambodia has made towards having sanitary latrines for all families.

Village Chief Hor Thet has led his community's building of latrines by example, and he expects progress to continue. His goal is to have 100 percent latrine use within a year: cwsglobal.org/leading-by-example

When a tree fell on the main water pipe in Me Za Li village, Myanmar, and snapped it in two, it could have meant many weeks without water.

Thankfully, Water Committee member Saw Kyaw had previously attended a CWS-led technical training on water systems. Using the skills he had learned, Kyaw and other committee members were able to change the water pipe themselves, quickly restoring the flow of clean water.

Systems AND training mean strong, independent communities.

A year ago, devastating earthquakes shook Nepal. Through CWS and thus the ACT Alliance, YOU stood with the survivors to help rebuild.
