I just don't get this. I can see people sticking with the 3.5mm jack because they have a lot of different audio devices that connect to it, but is this really necessary with hifi dac over bluetooth on the horizon? If you are going to have to upgrade your audio equipment, why not cut the cord already, instead of investing in more wired technology when fully wireless phones are here now.
