Not for the squimish. This young American Alligator, from Viera Wetlands in FL, is the definition of "biting off more than you can chew!" I think the bird might be a Tricolored Heron...it is hard to tell. Whatever it is, the gator does not know what to do with it. Too big to swallow. Too good to let go. The Alligator was about 5 feet long...and slender. Not a baby, but far from an adult.

The robot is an excavator device, designed to extract water, ice and fuel from the soil of the moon. And from the soil of similarly dusty bodies (like, say, Mars).
