diversify your eXercises
when you work multiple muscles at the same time, you’re getting your cardiovascular eXercise at the same times as you get your strength eXercise. you’re not only saving time, but you’re also burning more calories while eXercising.

everyone is a beginner at something one point in life. clubX wants to give the fitness beginners some eXcellent eXercise advice so you will feel more comfortable in the gym, and learn to achieve eXtraordinary results.

control your eXercises
the key to eXercise eXcellence is to isolate each muscle group and strategically work them through various eXercises, angles, and techniques. the better you can contract each muscle group correctly during a lift, the more your muscles will grow.
more weight can wait….in the grand scheme of things, how much you can lift matters very little. what’s important is learning how to squeeze your muscles to move the weight rather than using your hips to thrust the weight up.

eXecute compound eXercises
to get the best results for muscle growth and eXcess fat loss, it’s best to start with compound lifts like; squats, bench press, shoulder press, bent-over row, deadlifts, pull-ups, and lunges. these lifts require you to use multiple muscle groups at the same time. eXecuting these eXercises will allow you to lift more weight, work more muscles, and increase your metabolic rate much more than if you focus on isolation movements, such as triceps eXtensions. find more eXcellent eXcercise tips here: http://clubxmiami.com/excellent-exercise-tips-for-beginners/

how to properly fuel your body for eXercise

many of us underestimate the importance of correctly refueling our bodies before and after eXercise. considering our food intake is a crucial factor in getting the best results.
first of all, consider what you want. what are your fitness goals? do you want to lose those eXtra pounds or build muscle? of course the food requirements for these are different, but they all begin with a strong base.

make carbs your friend

most gym-goers equate long eXercise sessions with hard eXercises. however, long eXercise sessions, which last more than an hour, usually mean low-intensity muscle contractions and eXtended rest periods. to gain muscle mass and burn eXcess fat, low-intensity eXercises are often ineffective and counterproductive.

fitness trends: moving “back to basics”

after nearly a decade of chasing high-tech fitness dreams, eXperts say there’s a movement back to the basics for getting in shape.

the high-tech stuff was great and were hyped for quite a while. lots of people in america have a treadmill in the corner of the bedroom, but only to hang their clothes on….treadmills seldom get used when in the home environment. however, now there is a trend away from treadmills in the home….in fact a trend back to basics. by basics, we mean using the body, dumbbells, kettlebells, your mind….and not much else to get in shape.

clubX answers some questions about fat

have you ever wondered why it’s so difficult to lose weight and keep it off? can you blame it on your genes, low metabolism, or that you happen to have more fat cells than others?

how many fat cells does a normal person have?
the number of fat cells of an adult average weight person, regardless of gender, is about 40-50 billion. an obese / overweight person has double that!

why do we have body fat, and what is it good for?
fat tissue is in fact a separate body. it stores energy and is eXtremely important, since it functions as insulation for the body and organs. fat tissue also regulates blood sugar levels and other hormones, for eXample the hormone leptin, which inhibits the appetite.

more eXercise sins…fitness killers!

we continue in our attempt to bring you awareness of some of the more deadly eXercise sins; learn when you are about to commit a sin so you can make eXcellent decisions instead!

ignoring the negative
if you focus on lifting a weight—the concentric or positive component—and then just let it fall back into place, your sin is in neglecting the negative. the process of letting the weight back down is called the eccentric component, and it’s at least as important as the concentric component for stimulating muscular development. ignore it and you’ll only get half the results. an eXcellent rule is to lower the weight twice as slowly as you lift it.

not understanding your eXercises
admit it….sometimes you see someone doing an eXercise you’ve never seen and you think, “cool, I’ll try that too”. there is a huge BUT to that though…..not understanding the eXercises you perform is actually committing another sin. find out more: http://clubxmiami.com/more-exercise-sinsfitness-killers/

deadly eXercise sins!

too much too soon
when women want their arms smaller, their waste tighter, or their thighs leaner they typically work those muscle groups every time they eXercise. the same goes for men that want to grow muscle mass. often, you overdo it with too much too soon. the body needs 72 hours to complete a metabolic cycle, which promotes healing of the tissue that was torn during your eXercise. if you’re eXercising the same muscle group every day, your body won’t recover properly, slowing progress and leaving yourself open to injury.

going in cold
going into your eXercises cold is a big no-no. warming up lubricates the joints by thinning the synovial fluid that buffers them, which will give you a better range of motion and place you at a lower risk of injury. you should warm up for at least 5-10 minutes with low intensity cardio, or if you’re eXercising with weights you can warm up by doing one or two lighter sets of each eXercise first.

remember this: something is always better than nothing!
even if, at times, you can only eXercise once a week that’s still four days of eXercising. keep in mind that achieving optimal health along with an eXcellent body is a long term goal.
