A new TV show, Around Akron with Blue Green, will air Oct. 3 at 9 p.m. on Western Reserve PBS. Written and produced by filmmaker Christopher Green, a University of Akron graduate, the show will feature the people and places that shape the city.
The ArcelorMittal company said the steel mill will suffer "catastrophic harm" if a federal judge doesn't immediately order the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to dredge the Cuyahoga River shipping channel. Company officials said the steel mill could be forced to shut down its blast furnaces without the iron ore necessary for steel-making.
Creepy clown sightings have proliferated in Ohio and more than a dozen other states. The president-elect of the World Clown Association said the professional clowning community hasn't seen negative effects -- yet.
