Right now, at the historic St. George’s Cathedral in Cape Town, our 10th annual Ihlombe! Choral Festival is featuring 175 choristers from four major American cities—Atlanta, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Seattle—alongside more than 100 South African singers hailing from Gugulethu, Kenmere and Cape Town. Under the baton of Sidumo Nyamazele, the 2018 Ihlombe! mass choir will soon perform the world premieres of two more Mandela-themed works commissioned by Classical Movements: Phelelani Mnomiya's setting of Madiba’s 90th birthday speech, It’s In Your Hands Now, and Sibusiso Njeza’s jubliant Uthando Nomculo (“Love and Music”).
