Human emotions, if they grow too strong, can blind us to reality. Even a positive emotion like love can keep us from seeing that, for example, the person we’re with doesn’t treat us very well. Dogs are influenced by our energy all of the time, so it's important for us to learn how to be aware of the energy we're projecting, and to be able to achieve a calm, assertive state at will. Here are some practical tips that I guarantee will help you become more calm, as long as you put in the work and follow through! http://cesar.mn/WVgm

These beautiful Siamese sisters were brought in to be euthanized today, their owner could no longer care for them, as she is moving to an assisted living. We would love to give them another chance! They are indoor only. Please pass along and help us find these kitties a home! Feel free to call with any questions 360--683-7286. Thank you friends! #WAState #PleaseShare

BEYOND CRITICAL - CAN BE PUT DOWN ANYTIME
Must Love Dogs - safe with me
*STILL waiting for you* Ben's notes are full of GOODNESS, from how he's extremely house-trained to the fact that he came in with his whole crew - 2 well behaved Pibbles and a kittie - who all seemed to have lived together in harmony because they are all so sweet, gentle and friendly. Alex and Carson, who seem to be Ben's siblings are both BEGINNER RATED and in foster care via NYC ACC. Handsome Ben hasn't been so lucky though. He needs a hero ASAP!*
Mason (now known as Ben) came to the Manhattan ACC by their field unit. He was with 2 other dogs (Carson and Alex) and they are all friendly dogs. During his assessment Mason/Ben was active and friendly, jumping up to lick the Assessor's face. He allowed the Assessor to conduct all tactile assessment items remaining active throughout the assessment, when pushed away by the plastic hand Ben did not lift his head from the food bowl. No behavior issues or aggression noted. Ben is a very friendly, strong, active dog that will require an experienced owner who can provide daily physical and mental stimulation in the form of exercise and brisk walks. BEN SCORED ALL 1'S AND 2'S ON HIS BEHAVIOR EVALUATION WITH A 3 ON FOOD. LET IT BE NOTED THAT BOTH OF BEN'S BUDDIES (ALEX AND CARSON) ARE BEGINNER RATED AND PLACED IN FOSTER HOMES THROUGH NYC ACC. Ben did well in Doggy Play Groups >>> When off-leash with other dogs, Ben is initally anxious and a little vocal at fence. Once able to greet other dogs he is social with males and females and corrects appropriately.
A volunteer writes: "Ben, the two of us need look no more, we both found what we were looking for..." the plaintive voice of a young Michael Jackson rings through my head as I search Ben's eager eyes, so hungry for food, love and family that he sees a new BFF in everyone he meets. If what you're looking for is an affectionate, huggable, energetic companion who adores playtime with humans and dogs alike and is pretty darn handsome to boot, then your search ends with Ben! This fun-loving boy arrived with the rest of his 'pack' - equally stunning brother Rascal (A1025163), sister Lady (A1025165) and a little kitty companion - after his owners lost their home and were unable to find another to accommodate such a furry full house. Just like in the song, Ben is 'always running here and there', ignoring toys and balls in favor of plain old goofing around (play-bowing included!) with his doggie pals or getting into a game of chase with his human friends, those long legs dashing around the pen before coming to rest on my lap as he smothers me with grateful, enthusiastic kisses. He'll sit briefly for treats and take them quickly but nicely from my hand, seems extremely house trained and though a bit of a leash puller, he listens when I speak and accepts a shortened rope with no argument. Excellent scores on his behavior evaluation mean Ben would be a great fit for any experienced, active family and with his dog- and cat-friendly history, the more four-legged siblings, the merrier! Ask to meet this lovable clown today and hopefully you'll soon be singing the words Ben's big ol' ears have been longing to hear: "There's something you should know...you've got a place to go."
