Vision International Image Festival has chosen the theme Angasraya: The Stream of Freedom from the Ocean as the main theme because of the urge to re-awaken the emotional togetherness of Indonesia as a maritime country. This festival is a movement of the people in response to the APEC Summit 2013 which takes place in Bali. As an image festival Vision International Image Festival has the purpose of bringing the portrait of Indonesian and the world’s maritime civilization, with the spirit of diversity and equality which will be the red string among all the exhibited photos.

It was beautiful sunny day when we started canyoning. We were welcomed by Adventure and Spirit team which led us to the most changeling adventure of the day. Our beloved guide, Pi’i and Abraham had prepared everything for us. They gave us wet suit, boots, socks, helmet, seat harness and explained us how to use the cowtail, pirana and all the safety tips.

Kalimudah Canyoning was the name of the expedition that we did. It consisted of exploring 8 waterfalls in 3 hours. We started the expedition by walking ±15 minutes to the starting point. The first challenge was to abseiling the waterfall. It’s slippery, rocky but fun and we were all excited. The next challenge was to do it with abseiling continued with jumping and sometimes sliding to the natural pond down the waterfall.

Far away from the Carribean, here in Bali we can have the same adventure looking for a treasure, hidden somewhere which we can find by solving clues along the way. Pirate Bay is a new restaurant located in The Bay, Nusa Dua area right in front of Nusa Dua beach. This unique restaurant is carrying a fun family recreation spot with extraordinary concept. Not only a restaurant, they also have an exciting recreation program. Yes, we can be pirates for a day and cracking every puzzle given to get to the hidden treasure!

Hindu came to Bali for the first time at 8th century B.C. This religion was influenced by West Java and East Java, with the discovery of Sanskrit language inscriptions in Gianyar. According to the description of Balinese lontar, Mpu Kuturan was a reformer of Hinduism in Bali during the reign of Udayana. The influence was quite large. The existence of sects that previously lived at the time can be combined with worship through Khayangan Tiga. Further development of Hinduism happened since Gajah Mada expedition to Bali in 1343 until the end of the 19th century.
