Polar bear out for a stroll in front of Seal River Lodge. Part of a beautiful photo album http://www.andrewyip.com/galleries/manitoba/ created by Andrew Yip, a Churchill Wild guest for Birds, Bears & Belugas http://www.churchillwild.com/adventures/birds-bears-and-belugas/ last year. Make sure to check out his shot of the guests taking a photo of the tiny frog. Loved that one! Thank you so much Andrew! #polarbear #adventuretravel #wildlifephotography

There’s a polar bear on the runway. Now what?
When you land at one of Churchill Wild’s remote Arctic lodges, there’s always a chance you’ll be met by more than just your bear guides. Your real hosts, the polar bears might just be there to greet you too. It’s not uncommon to see them on or near the runway while you’re at the Lodges. http://www.churchillwild.com/theres-a-polar-bear-on-the-runway-what-now/ #polarbears #adventuretravel #wildlifephotography

Thanks to Zuopeng Wang for this incredible shot of sparring polar bears. Mr. Wang has traveled far from his home in China on several occasions to take part in Churchill Wild's Polar Bear Photo Safaris, and this particular shot was the highlight of his group's experience at Nanuk Polar Bear Lodge. We look forward to hosting Mr. Wang and his friends again this summer when they return for one of our Fireweed Island adventures. This time the focus will be on capturing rare and unique images of the Great Ice Bears in wildflowers. "If you’re taking photos of animals, you have to come down to their level. The angle won’t be good if you take a photo of a two-foot penguin from a height of six feet." ~ Wildlife Photographer +Michael Poliza on Capturing Nature’s Great Spectacles: http://explorer.jacadatravel.com/2015/02/19/wildlife-photographer-michael-poliza-capturing-natures-great-spectacles ~ This shot of a polar bear mother and cub was taken by Michael at Seal River Lodge on the Birds, Bears & Belugas Adventure. Polar bear wanting to come in for breakfast at Seal River Lodge ( http://www.churchillwild.com/about-us/our-lodges/seal-river-heritage-lodge/ ). This photo, by Terry Allen, appeared in the +Daily Mail yesterday in the story Knock knock, who's bear? Thanks to Jill Bankey, one of our guests at Seal River Lodge way back in 2008 on the Great Ice Bear Adventure, for finding and sharing this on Twitter along with her comments:  reminds me of my great trip! Would love to be back there.
