Parents and potential students got a firsthand look yesterday at a new preschool program, which is housed at Franklin Elementary and funded by a public foundation.

“It’s unheard of to have this kind of commitment from a foundation for our youngest learners,” said Elyria’s director of academic services, Ann Schloss.

A couple who has been married for 61 years has been reunited at a health care facility in Avon Lake so they can spend their last days together.
