"My Baby Blue"
I couldn't stay away from McCullough Peaks for too long and found myself there again recently. Since last week, the snow has melted and it almost seems like Spring with the creeks and waterholes overflowing. It's a bit too early to drive on the muddy two tracks, but many of the horses were within walking distance, including Tecumseh and Washakie. Even with my two favorite stallions around, I found myself drawn to Tonkwana, Tecumseh's blue-eyed colt. This young stud is so fiery, always starting trouble with the much larger, adult stallions who play along with him while gently putting him in his place. Tonkwana is still a bit young to be taken seriously, but I do believe that one day he will be a force to be reckoned with.
