This one's for Windows users....

There's been a wealth of reports from Windows users where Microsoft automatically update them to Windows 10 without your explicit approval to do so. It's all part of the terms & conditions (EULA) you have approved in the past, so it's not technically wrong, but morally (at least in my opinion) it is.

There's been lots of 'workarounds' to stop this happening, but Microsoft have been steadily blocking these. However, Steve Gibson of Gibson Research (GRC) - one of the most gifted and trusted technical experts in the IT community - has released a piece of Freeware that allows you, safely, to prevent Microsoft automatically upgrading your OS to Windows 10.

Well worth running! http://ow.ly/10opxh

I've heard reports today that some folks are getting text messages purporting to be from Apple ID. These messages are saying that your Apple account has been suspended because of unusual log-in activity, and direct you to a webpage (seems to be www.apple.verify-id.co.uk). THIS IS NOT APPLE! Do not log in, if you have any doubts log in at the standard apple site for managing your account (http://appleid.apple.com) and check all is ok. The text message is a typical Phishing attempt - watch my video for a bit more information: http://ow.ly/XLayZ

If you are having trouble with Safari crashing for you today (seems to only be a problem on iOS for me), try turning off the 'Safari Suggestion' option in Settings/Safari. This should allow you to use Safari again for the time being. I'll find out the permanent fix and let you know as soon as possible. Please share this info and like it if it helps you :) http://ow.ly/XAhNB
