Introduction
Serving as Minnesota's children’s hospital since 1924, we provide 340 staffed beds at our two hospital campuses in St. Paul and Minneapolis. An independent, not-for-profit health care system, Children’s provides care through more than 12,000 inpatient visits and more than 200,000 emergency room and other outpatient visits each year.

In March 2013, we wrote about twin sisters Adrianna (right) and Michelle, who suffered concussions 24 hours apart. Since then, Adrianna suffered second and third concussions. We are so grateful for the incredible turnout Thursday, April 9, for our fourth annual St. Baldrick's Foundation "Shave the Day" head-shaving event at Children's – #Minneapolis. Six-year-old Odin Bergs made sure his first haircut took on extra meaning when he had 12 inches of hair cut. He donated the hair to Wigs 4 Kids and more than $1,000 to the Children's Cancer Kids Fund. http://bit.ly/1Gvd1Zu

Emma German, of Belle Plaine, Minn., passed away in September, four years after being diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
