We had a blast at Walk for Amazing, the first-of-its-kind fundraiser for Children’s Minnesota! The event, which was emceed by Cities 97 DJ (and parent of a Children’s patient) Paul Fletcher, featured a ceremonial walk through the stadium and on-field, family-friendly activities, including a climbing wall, yard games, face-painting, and live music from local group Koo Koo Kanga Roo! Together, participants raised more than $332,000 in support of Children’s programs including cardiovascular, cancer research, neonatal, urgent needs and more!

On Saturday, April 21, over 900 people gathered at the Depot Minneapolis and raised more than $2.2 million for the Child and Family Services program at Children’s Minnesota, a program that plays a critical role in the care experience at Children’s. The event included inspiring stories from co-emcees, JJ Harrington and Obadiah Gamble, a special appearance and skit by The Dude, silent and live auctions, dinner and dancing. Thank you to all for joining us for a special night.

As heartbreaking stories of child abduction and abuse impact our communities, parents want to know what they can do to keep children safe. One of the best things you can do is to talk with your child early and often, says. Dr. Mark Hudson, executive director & medical director at the Midwest Regional Child Advocacy Center & Midwest Children’s Resource Center. He outlines some of the most important things to share with your child when discussing these tough subjects.

Thirteen years after her leukemia diagnosis, Sara Bultsma remains inspired by the care she received at Children's Minnesota. Last month she teamed up with Dr. Yoav Messinger for the fifth time to run the Pine Tree Apple Tennis Classic 5K and support cancer research. https://www.childrensmn.org/2016/09/15/pediatric-cancer-survivor-celebrates-health/
