My husband and I visited Chateau Elan for a night away from our adventurous two year old a few months ago. We love food and wine. We have eaten at some of the best restaurants in Atlanta, and yet, I can honestly say that the food we had at the Chateau was some of the best food we have had in the area. I think what really stands out about the hotel is the service. Everyone we met greeted us with a smile. Each person went out of their way to make us feel as if we were the only ones they were there to take care of. Let me give you some examples: our server taking our champagne to the patio for us to enjoy a few moments alone before dessert or the woman in the gift store wrapping up a golf shirt for my husband and placing it in our room while I joined him at the pool. The room was clean and well appointed. The people were kind, happy and thoughtful. The food was inspired. Chateau Elan is a wonderful place. Definitely worth the price--especially compared to the other 4 star options within driving distance from Atlanta.

Location was beautiful. The building design with all the windows were gorgeous at sunset. Service was decent. Wines were yummy :)

Rooms are great, however very little noise filtering. Not good with noisy drunk travelers outside the room

We attended a wine festival at the resort. If rained, which the resort had no control over. However, they can control how they respond to the inclimate weather. They handled the weather well. The wine tasting was inside of the winery's facilities and the industrial look added to the experience. There was food, whiskeys and a delightful band outside under a tent about half the size of a football field. We were dry under the tent, but if was a little cool. The hotel is large with open areas which provide nice views within the hotel. Staff was polite and attentive. The room was spacious with a quality bed. The TV programming was dated and with a generic hotel setup. It's a small complaint because few people go to a resort to watch television. The hotel more than made up for the poor TV by providing free wifi. I did not attempt to stream media, but normal web browsing went along nicely. I'm a sucker for free wifi. The bathroom was spacious and made with quality materials. The bathtub was large enough for two, as is the shower. We had dinner at Paddy's Irish pub. I was not impressed. We had potato soup and pretzel bread with cheese dipping sauce. The food was on par with Applebee's. The soup was bland and uninteresting. The pretzel bread was clearly made in a factory and microwaved. This might be something that I could overlook, but the cup of soup was $8 and the pretzel bread was $7. The staff was nice. Overall, I was impressed with the wine festival, the grounds, hotel and room. The food at the Irish pub was sub-par for the price and did not rise to the quality of the rest of the resort.

Massage was awesome and on site food options were pretty good. Rooms weren't too special and could use some updating, especially the tv. Cable package is weak as well.

Stayed in the Villas during a conference. The rooms were terrific as was dinner and drinks at the winery. The staff was very accommodating and service was top notch. Looking forward to returning.
