Love the centre for life, always something do to, exhibits are always brilliant and informational. Areas are currently getting updated so there is slightly less to do but still work going in and winter is a great time to go down do some ice skating before or after you've seen the exhibits. There is also a space upstairs for younger children that is large and has a good variety of things from role play and dress up to drawing and family games. Do feel like sometimes the exhibits run on a bit long if you have a year pass as I feel you don't get the benefit of the year pass unless you want to go look at an exhibit multiple times but I understand that popular exhibits get extended to attract more people. Also do feel like the food served isn't as good as food else were and is on the expensive side.

We came to see the Animal Inside Out exhibition and hadn't been before. We spent all day there and it was great. There are loads of interactive activities for children that entertained 4 girls between 9 and 13 years old. The planetarium and weird science shows were good and the 4D ride went down really well. Definitely highly recommended.

Experience depends on what exhibit is on and how busy it is. GAME ON exhibit was amazing ... current animals inside out is educational and certainly interesting. Fair price for what they have on .. give the 4D ride a go too

Great museum and experience. More geared towards a young audience but they will occasionally have adult 'lates' that are well worth the price of admission. The entry price might be a little steep for some but they make up for this partly by providing plenty of space to eat packed lunches. The main hall changes occasionally but on the whole is the same with each visit. Recently they've added an interactive 'Experiment Zone' that we all enjoyed. There is a large section of the museum that changes a few times of the year and always worth a look. I particularly enjoyed the Game 2.0 exhibit. If you ever have any questions while there talk to one of the staff as they all tend to be very knowledgable about the exhibits.

Great for kids and adults alike. A bit pricey but look out for offers and also consider a season ticket as the exhibits constantly change so worth returning periodically. It's not actually that big but worth taking your time to really soak in and experience everything it has to offer - then you can easily spend a whole day there. There are two places to eat - a restaurant which I haven't tried and a so-so cafe with a gift shop. Easily accessible - next door to Newcastle Central Train Station and a multi-storey car park.

Wonderful place full of exciting science things to do for all the family Exhibitions change regularly so it's worth checking in regularly. If you buy a family annual ticket you also get discounts in the cafe and shop any time you visit.

I came all the way from Australia to see the Animals Inside Out exhibition. I was very impressed with the layout of the building, especially in terms of disability access. The staff were warm and friendly, especially Helen, the lady presenting in the Science Theatre. Definitely worth a visit!
