Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Chef Sharp grew up with an innate sense of hospitality through his family’s culture and restaurant experience. He is a graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, a fellow Tar Heel, and attended The Culinary Institute of America. When Chef isn’t helming the kitchen, this two-time Ironman competitor is training for his next race or spending time with his three children and wife at home.

The Carolina Inn has some exciting news for our history tidbit today! While our porte cochere driveway is under construction, we have discovered a well that local archaeologists and geologists think was constructed 120 years ago, most likely by geography professor, Elisha Mitchell (the namesake for Mount Mitchell). We are still uncovering further details, but what a wonderful discovery for us to add to our history!
