We're in the process of setting up a community #bike station at CIMMYT! I'm going to DF to get estimates on tools, etc. Portland bike friends, anything you would you suggest for a bike repair station? It will likely be in a covered area, we will still need to tie the tools in so they don't walk away, but otherwise we have a lot of flexibility to make it amazing. Design ideas also welcome.

I'm headed to #Paris  next week and am seeking cooking classes in English. Would love to spend several days at one school. Baguettes, butter, croques...I'm very interested in something more intensive. Suggestions? #cookingclass

Staff field day at +CIMMYT. Hundreds of us explored the greenhouses, bread lab, open source machinery project and the potential of data visualizations for science storytelling.

I wrote a piece for +GOOD Magazine on the Mexican Independence Day, which has nothing to do with Cinco de Mayo...except the stick on mustaches. This year I spent it in Jalcomulco, Veracruz, a sleepy river rafting town that was too hippy to celebrate much. Independence is a great time of year to be in Mexico!

"Your password must be between eight and fifteen characters long and must contain at least two upper case letters, one lower case letter, two numbers and one non-alphanumeric character and cannot contain the string that is your first or last name." Those non-alphanumeric characters can only be a period or comma. Geez.

Happy to see progress in #MexicoCity  mentioned in the #GatesFoundation  annual letter. Same air quality as LA! http://annualletter.gatesfoundation.org/#section=myth-one

Happy 30th bday Mac! I remember using the Mac Classic to play that meteor game starting at about 6yrs old. Then in middle school I had the blue clamshell laptop, which I left with my mother once and nobody in her office could figure out how to open it. It was bubbly and perfect for a kid. If more laptops were fun like that for middle school girls, I think we'd have more women in computers. The lack of women in computers is a problem of education, stereotypes, and design. Not that they have to be pink, but they don't have to be all robocob either. Closer alignment between computers and 'girl' toys could really make a difference.
