I think I've written a total of 4 reviews over the course of my life. Seldom are my purchasing experiences sufficiently memorable. No so with my recent experience at Caplan's Appliances. Thomas (our salesperson), was excellent and did a great job of showing us how product features became benefits. He found and arranged for our installer (with marble cutting capabilities). All went exactly as planned. I've purchased on three occasions from Thomas previously and will continue to make sure he's available when I'm planning a visit. What was extraordinary however, was my most recent delivery experience. I was called 3 times on the delivery day with updates on the ever-narrowing delivery "window". When the three young men arrived (exactly when they said they would), the most senior of the group entered our home (removing his shoes) to inspect the route to our desired appliance location - smart I thought. A washer and dryer were going up 3 flights of stairs and a refrigerator was going down a flight. Steep, tight, winding stairs. There was not a hint of displeasure on his face. He was professional, polite and knowledgable. Not a mark on the walls. It was clear that these men took real pride in the quality of the service they delivered. Living downtown Toronto the roads are tight, traffic is lousy and these guys were cited by the parking police without any consideration for the fact they were on delivery. Did it change their attitude? Not one bit. They said it was simply an unfortunate occurrence some days. Then they thanked me for my business. I watched them leave... disappointed only by the fact that I no longer had an unmarried daughter to introduce them to. Repeat with Caplan's? Hell yes.

We were looking for a counter depth refrigerator and searched online where we found Caplan’s. We were very impressed with its large selection of quality products and high level of customer service! The salesman Brendan Crossey was very knowledgeable about the different products. Following to his advice, we easily purchased a refrigerator and a range with a bundled price. After the sale was done, we called Brendan several times to check and to reschedule the delivery date. He always answered our call with good manners. Because of an issue with our countertop, our range had to be exchanged. During the exchange process, Brendan offered suggestions, and spent quite a bit of time to check the product specifications and to make sure the exchanged range would fit our countertop. We really appreciated his professional attitude. We also dealt with salesman Mike Roy while Brendan was absent. Mike didn’t make an excuse to let us wait till Brendan was back to work. He offered help to initiate the exchange process even though he was very busy with his own customers. We would like to say thanks to customer service administrator Sabina Catic who took care of all the arrangements and paper handling work efficiently. Caplan’s delivery guys were very pleasant, highly skilled and on time. They made special efforts to position the appliances in the proper spots within a small kitchen. We would like to share our wonderful experience shopping at Caplan’s. We were grateful for the professional service that we received from Caplan’s staff. They demonstrated their strong ability to identify and to satisfy their customer's needs! We would definitely recommend Caplan’s to our family members and friends.

We bought several appliances from Caplan's because of their reputation for providing excellent service, standing behind the products they sold and selling high quality appliances. However, we are very disappointed. We bought a whirlpool refrigerator 5 years ago with an extended warranty. The warranty ended and within a week of the warranty ending, the fridge needed to be repaired. We got little help from Caplan's and they certainly are not standing behind the product they sold. It is rather shoddy that a major appliance such as a refrigerator should need repairs within such a short time frame. I was told to go back to the company Whirlpool, but they certainly don't stand behind their products either and it is certainly difficult to get service from a company based in Tennessee. We expected better service from Caplan's.

What a great customer service experience! We experienced some issues with an appliance that we purchased from the knowledgeable staff at Caplan's. The manufacturer was unresponsive to our requests for assistance but, thankfully, the staff at Caplan's (Doris, in particular) customer service department stepped in a resolved all of our issues. Doris and company went well above the call of duty and provided us with an exceptional customer service experience. I should also add that the delivery team that Caplan's uses are also standouts - a great group of folks that are eager to please. This is a great example of why I always buy locally - it's great to be able to support stellar companies. Thanks!!

Terrible service. Not much after sales support. If you buy at Caplan's after some of the warnings online, then you get what you deserve. I ignored the warnings but I wont do it again.

We have just completed our second purchase with Caplan's and our sales representative (Joseph Giorgio) could not have looked after us any better. He was attentive all the way through the process which took several month's We really appreciated Joseph's continued but not intrusive follow up's to remind us of up coming dates and deadlines. He worked hard to ensure we received the best possible discounts were discounts were available. He arranged not only delivery but outside installation as well. All in all we would definitely highly recommend Caplan's and Joseph to all our friends and family if they are looking for high quality products and services.

I went in to look at a Wolf cooktop and oven for an upcoming kitchen renovation, planed for April (so I didn't need to buy right away). I asked the salesperson if the appliances ever went on sale (it was boxing week and I assumed they would be). He told me that they are never on sale and contrary to that, prices would be going up 10% in February. He claimed that they usually raise prices in January but this year were delaying a month. After I left, I looked online and found that a sale had ended just a few days before. I called a few other appliance places and it seems none of them were informed on the Wolf February price increase. After several other exchanges like this, I'm very glad that I didn't buy from these crooks!
