It takes more than doctors to #beatEbola.

After a year the virus is now declining, but there's no room for complacency.

See how our volunteers and staff have been fighting Ebola in West Africa: http://webapps.redcross.org.uk/Ebola/

It is unthinkable that dirty water kills more children than war. But it’s true.

The Clean Start Appeal will give thousands of people safe clean water. From today, donations to the appeal will be doubled by the British government.

We're looking for stories of Land Rover Defenders in action!

In 1954 Land Rover donated a Defender (then known as Series 1) to use as a mobile dispensary in Dubai, and we've been working together ever since.

More than 120 vehicles have been loaned or donated, so we can do everything from delivering emergency relief after a typhoons, to providing transport for hospital patients.

We'd love to hear any stories you have of the Defenders working with us! Please comment, or email socialmedia@redcross.org.uk.

Please donate to our Yemen crisis appeal: http://bit.ly/1N7PrGd

Deadly clashes and air strikes have killed hundreds of people and seriously injured many more.

People are struggling to find food and water. Medical supplies to help the wounded and sick are running low.

We can bring vital help, but we need your support.

When fighting brought death and misery to Gaza this summer, British surgeon David Nott performed emergency surgery on those caught up in the violence. He saw operations carried out on hallway floors, and dying children brought in without their parents. He also witnessed the power of the Red Cross to give vital help when it’s …

Helping people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.
Introduction

We are a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are.

We enable vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities.
