I haven't posted anything in awhile but here's on from my Hong Kong series. One great thing about the OMD is being able to shoot 1/10 of sec handheld to get some motion blur with out the whole image getting ruined. And it was raining all over me. #olympus  #omd-em5

+Sergey Sus offers fantastic critiques and this image is my response to his challenge after I had the middle image critiqued.
you can see the original critique on his blog here
http://sergeys.us/photography-critique-brian-morena/
He wanted to see some additional context to the photograph picking up on the fact that it was part of a broader series. I found the challenge very rewarding. It was tough to find images that featured the same subject which lent themselves to cropping into a triptych because I try to always fill the frame but it was even more difficult to create a story when I hadn't planned one from the beginning. The big thing I learned was how important it is to visualize a story when I plan on photographing a cohesive series of a particular subject.

If you have a particular image you would like critiqued check +Sergey Sus out. I find it difficult to get valuable feedback and I was happy to learn something about my own photography along the way.
Thanks again Sergry

thanks for your kind words, +brian morena . i think it's a good idea not to choose a picture one is too sure about, wouldn't make any sense. i have one in mind that i acutally like, but that i have not shown anywhere yet.

I walked up all these stairs in #hongkong only to these two frogs having a date night. It might not be close enough for #macromonday  but I was at minimum focus with a 35mm FOV.

10th pre school was a god send for our family. We put our son in public kindergarten after just turning 5 and after plenty of heart ache we learned he was not ready. We had lots of friends who had a fantastic experience with 10th street and we were able to get him in a just as 10th st sarted their year. That school year started out tough but 10th st turned it into one of the best years ever. We saw our son grow in ways we hadn't yet imagined. He became more social, more skill full, and began to love school so much he would come home and play pre school. He learned everything he needed to start kindergarten with confidence and enthusiasm. 10th st is the perfect place for our family, Cindy the director has created a warm and caring place with her fantastic staff and beautiful facilities. I love being a part of the 10th st family.
