+Bookmans Speedway Entertainment Exchange spills their bookselling desires in this post from our blog. We are entrenched in great books with no restrictions about hot new releases, critical acclaim or movie tie-ins, so you may be surprised at what made their list.

Each of our stores reflects the community they serve, so we'd expect a completely different list coming from each location.
Next time you come in to Bookmans, make our day and ask us for one of our top 10 books we wish customers would request. They are as quirky as we are.

The message is that, "If you want to be the twin-set-rocking, universally beloved Taylor Swift of your book club, it seems pretty simple: read the books, play nice, and follow these 19 easy rules:" only some of these rules don't seem all that easy. Best of luck to you book clubbers!
Like any gathering of people, book clubs can be tough to sustain. They depend on the entire group's ability to play by the rules and honor the mission of their club. Nonetheless, most readers dream of having a lively, intellectually enriching book cl...

Yes! I haven't read every single one of these memoirs, but the ones I did read deserve to be on this list. RB

Great prose often displays a musical quality, and often great music tells a story. With these 20 musician memoirs, you'll get the best of both worlds. http://on.nypl.org/13TnXP3

As a used bookstore, we have plenty of very cool, but absolutely exhausted books left at our trade counter. We give the best to schools, libraries and non profit organizations, but some books are too far gone even for that. We recycle some, but recycling is the last step in the cycle and we aren't ready for these books to disappear. Instead we upcycle them by removing their covers and sometimes a few of the pages, and re-assembling them along with blank, acid-free paper. The result is a blank book ideal for sketching, journaling or scrapbooking.

We're beginning to sell them online and have only a few of our Goosebump collection uploaded. In the near future, we will offer blank books made from pulp fiction covers, embossed hard covers and even LP covers. Got a request? Leave a comment and we'll try to make that happen for you.

In 2015 you should be like, “Hey! You see this book? The one with the muscle clad hero sporting a kilt on the front cover? Well, I liked this book. It is fun and I’m awesomer for having read it.” #RomanceNovels
This lusty genre is enjoyed by millions but the stigma of it often has readers buying the books in secret. Bring your romance novels out from the shadows!

Keeping it local means a greater chance of discovery. According to this infographic, 3X is the "multiple by which shoppers are more likely to discover new books when shopping brick and mortar bookstores, compared with shopping online."

Arizona knows to keep it local and we love you for it!
Independent businesses are poised to draw more people this holiday season.  To illustrate the ways that local businesses are growing in popularity, delivering stronger economic returns, and expanding in numbers, the Advocates for Independent Business, a coalition of 14 groups coordinated by ILSR, put together this infographic.

Arizona's favorite media store. Buying, selling and trading books, games, movies and music for over 30 years. Why buy new?

Bookmans Exchange built our reputation on the concept that "used" is not a dirty word. With six stores in Tucson, Mesa, Phoenix and Flagstaff, we rely on our customers for what we sell, including books, music, movies, video games and systems, magazines, comics, electronics, tchotchkes and musical instruments, to list a few. We regularly host in-store events ranging from art exhibits, musical performances and anime festivals to reptile adoptions, yoga classes and yo-yo workshops. Stepping into Bookmans alters your view of what buying used is and should be. Our philosophy of DIY creativity, integrity and community involvement has made us one of Arizona's most loved stores.

We believe in making the effort to interact with and understand others, being involved with and contributing to our community, speaking out against censorship and promoting freedom of expression at every turn, offering a diverse mix of merchandise with broad price ranges and exceeding expectations.

Our customers made Bookmans what we are today -- a bazaar of used media, literature, collectibles and entertainment. Where else can you pick up a stack of Rolling Stone back issues, the latest Janet Evanovich novel, an out-of-print Merle Haggard record, a Playstation 2 and an Elvis bobblehead all under the same roof? You ask for it, you bring it to us and we sell it. It's as simple as that.

Being an old school gamer and not playing all the new toys, this is a good place to get anywhere from NES to Xbox 360 games and everythin in the middle. the only down ide ofthis place is thatyou never know if they will have the productyour looking for, because they relay heavily on people selling stuff to them. but I do like they added music instruments
