BOINC has an official app for Android!  (only battery powered devices at this time)  

BOINC only runs while charging and connected to WIFI by default.

Testing of BOINC on Android has commenced.  Due to the diversity of devices the developers are looking for testers with their devices (ultrabooks, phones, tablets, etc).  A Google Group for coordinating testing is organized and instructions how to join the testing are listed in the group.

New version of BOINC available for download for all platforms: version 7.0.64 and 7.0.65 (depends on your platform).

For World AIDS Day 2012 ( #WAD2012 ) the World Community Grid is hosting their third annual FightAIDS@Home live webcast with Dr. Alex Perryman of the Scripps Research Institute.

Dr. Perryman will talk about the progress that the FightAIDS@Home research team has made over the past year.  This includes their work in identifying compounds that can inhibit the progression of HIV infection.  This could not be done without volunteer computing participants.
