I was recommended to use Blue Bay Travel by a doctor at my work, she was not wrong. Leighton Glover was truly happy to help with all my questions and 3 sets of amendments for our Honeymoon. Leighton was always very personal and helpful and never tried to use the hard sale tactics that some other companies would try to use. I told Leighton at least 5 times how grateful I was for all his help, but I really don't think I would have been able to get such a great deal without all his help. Blue Bay Travel you have a great member of staff there make sure you look after him. Leighton I'll be posting you a little something to say thank you to you head office I hope it gets to you safely. So booking a holiday is one of the most important things to do each year- well for us anyway ! Booking through Blue Bay Travel, really does take the hassle out of doing it. This is the 7th time I have booked with Blue Bay and the main reason is there customer service. Amy kept me informed and updated prices for me very quickly. I have recommended Blue Bay to friends and family

We were in Jamaica last week and were advised that hurricane Matthew was approaching - the situation was monitored daily and by Friday night/Saturday morning the resort were advising people to change their flights where possible as Matthew was then a category 5 hurricane with sustained wind speeds of 160mph and was due to reach eastern Jamaica by Sunday evening through to Monday. We desperately tried to contact Virgin to change our flights but were advised by them that all flights were full but we could get on the Sunday flight (due to leave at 18.45) with an additional charge of £150 each (even though this flight might not make it to Jamaica if Mathew arrived in time, by which time we would have been trapped at Montego Bay airport instead of the resort (the resort would have been the safest option by far). Other airlines, including BA and many American Airlines arranged for their customer to be flown back early without charge in view of the situation. In desperation we called Blue Bay who we had booked the holiday with but they could do NOTHING to help us. By Sunday morning hurricane Matthew had been stationary for some time this allowed us to get the Virgin flight home at an additional £300 cost......both Virgin and Blue Bay travel have said even though we were facing a major hurricane because we CHOSE to leave early there is nothing they can do!!!! BEWARE folks - both of these companies have NO concern for their customers facing extreme weather conditions! We were in a very very stressful situation and they DID NOT care. We would NOT use either company EVER again......

Hi, We’re truly sorry that hurricane Matthew affected your holiday and led to you leaving Jamaica early. As you mentioned, the next available flight home with Virgin was on the Sunday. We looked at alternative flight options for getting you home earlier, but due to visa restrictions, UK airlines are unable to offer one way flights. The next available option was to fly via America with an American airline, but this required an ESTA which would take up to 48 hours to obtain. Should the government advise Holidaymakers to leave the island, airlines would rearrange return flights free of charge. In this instance, the government hadn’t issued this advice. Only on an individual basis, and at their discretion, would airlines rearrange flights when this advice hadn’t been given. It is policy in these situations that you remain at the resort until your return flight and the staff there will look after your welfare and safety. Leaving the resort early is at the discretion of the Holidaymaker. We advised you that leaving the resort early would be your choice and would result the subsequent airline charges to which you were happy. We can assure you that we always do our best to help Holidaymakers and we stay informed so that we can provide the best advice and support during situations such as the one you encountered. Absolutely terrible experience after my mother in law died and we cancelled our holiday. They have made it very difficult for us to get any of our thousands of pound back from a group booking, even telling my wife that she needed her travel insurance to call them to ask for the information. I would avoid this company like the plague as they obviously care more about making money than helping a customer who has lost their loved one. I bet nobody from your company will bother offering me an explanation for your shocking service.
