Leaders, remember you not only lead functions but people. Let the fruit of your endeavors multiply as the disciples who serve continue to be discipled also. #ChurchTech #Discipleship
Church tech is for enabling the mission of the Church: making disciples. Technology should make the work of the Church easier and more effective. It must always serve the mission and not the other way round. We’ve already seen that we’re doing Church tech wrong when it gets in the way of this mission. Another area we could …

Leadership has a lot to do with directing people. This includes identifying and appropriating their uniqueness. Uniqueness extends to how they are wired: their dispositions, skills and talents. You can change people but only to an extent. Thus guiding is critical aspect of leading. (Actually, this also applies to parenting) Leaders must not only direct but … Continue reading "The Difference Between Guidance And Control"

#goals #Resolutions #vision #dare #start #SelfLeadership #Leadership
I’m not against new year’s resolutions, anymore. I used to be and it was dumb. Ultimately, the most important thing is to have goals and aspirations. Whether they are tied to a time frame or not is not really an issue. What you call them isn’t the most important thing either. Not at all. Not … Continue reading "The Resolution That Trumps Them All"

Failure happens. When it does, these are some of the things it reminds me #SelfLeadership #leadership #life #dare #start
I do my best to journal. I rarely read what I’ve written in any systematic way. When I read my journal it is usually mere perusing. I recently found notes I made after a series of failures. You know what, there are many things failure reminds me. Perfect This maybe obvious but failure reminds me that … Continue reading "Things Failure Reminds Me"

I've started putting together my list of must read books. Besides books I've listed, what should I read? #MustRead #Books #Reading
I don’t know how mom and dad did it, but however they did, worked. Somehow they got my siblings and I to read, and eventually, love it. Every year I try to read as much as I can. Just like some read newspapers as their daily ritual, I read a book or books and, of … Continue reading "Books I Hope To Read In 2016"
