I signed up via the Marketplace in September, I paid my first month's premium. It's October 19. I have yet to receive a welcome packet or my insurance cards. I've called over 12 times, get re routed, sent to Illinois, get disconnected, get someone who doesn't know what they're talking about, etc. They have a million excuses. BCBS is completely inefficient except they were able to send me a bill for my next month's premium without a problem. Do NOT use this company!!!!!

I had the same negative experience. I wanted to get an idea of health care costs based on CURRENT pricing. The rep totally ignored my question and kept repeating that I could not sign up until Nov 1 and to call back then. All I wanted was an ESTIMATE. I repeated myself multiple times with the same dismissive answer.

Horrible company. They ACCIDENTALLY dropped me for no reason, despite taking my extremely ridiculously high premium. Became very ill and went to the doctor only to be turned away due to no coverage. When I called BCBSTX, I was told by 4 representatives that I would have to wait a whole month to see doctor. After continuing to be ill for 2 weeks, I called to file a complaint and actually was able to deal with a human with a heart. The man reinstated me immediately and I was able to see doctor. I hate this company with a passion.

If I could, I would give zero stars. I am an independent consultant so have to buy an individual "plan"from the marketplace. BCBSTX charges me more this year than I paid for my PPO last year (over $9000 in premiums), and they don't cover anything but the cheapest of drugs, the D student doctors and no surgery centers of quality. I have health insurance but not health coverage. I have taken medication for GERD for years....they don't even cover it now, but they did last year. I had surgery in December and there are complications....the doctor and surgery center are no longer covered so I can pay 15,000 out of pocket to use them...on top of the 9K in premiums., or go to someone else who know nothing about the case. BCBSTX are blood sucking leaches who could care less about the health and well-being of their members....they only care about their bottom line.

Lies lies lies. I've given them 740.00 dollars and still can't use the insurance.

Last year I had the secret super coverage ppo plan that had a bunch of smoke screens hiding ways to recover TMJ and other ailments loopholing everything considering it medical and NOT DENTAL - found out that for my 2016 plan they didn't cover tmj, who would've thought a DISLOCATED JOINT IS NOT COVERED BY ONLY SURGERY? All non invasive procedures are EXCLUDED really handy after forking 4000 over to have a quack malpractice- they also had ONLY ONE endocrinologist a 100 miles out in-network to call and find out that they NEVER worked in their office which started that many people have called in to be denied service after that office and myself personally called bcbstx to remove him from the list of providers in the DFW to find he's roaming around 14 hours away in Laredo? Struggled 5 months to get ANY APPOINTMENTS STARTED as that's when bcbullshit decided to go from ZERO DOCTORS in-network to now weaseling in a bunch added halfway into the year so that they can that SAY that they provided the standard level of care... over 24hrs of phone calls and zigging back n forth setting up countless useless appointments to go NOWHERE WITH MY HEALTH

Horrible company. Trying to deal with them is absolutely insane. I had a terrible accident/fall. Turned it in and nothing is ever received when I call to check the status. Had to start sending everything certified/RR. Because they have pulled PPO coverage out of Texas, had to go to Baylor Scott & White PPO. Still trying to resolve my issue with BCBS and now it's 45 min on hold only to hung up on. I assume that my member number pops up on the screen and they realize I'm no longer a member and I get the big.....CLICK. I'm going in person to the Richardson office in person. Infuriated with these and they owe me a ton of $.
