The investment was of approximately €50 million with innovative materials of BASF used in the construction process. There BASF will develop new structural materials, dispersions, functional materials as well as organic and inorganic additives for a wide range of customer industries including automotive, construction, packaging, paints, detergents and cleaning products, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, water and the wind industry.
Even the tiniest specks of particulate matter can ruin entire production runs: Chemicals for semiconductor electronics manufacturing are tested for purity in BASF’s cleanroom lab.
2nd quarter 2015: Sales €19.1 billion (+3%); EBIT before special items €2.0 billion (+2%).
1st half 2015: Sales €39.1 billion (+3%); EBIT before special items of €4.1 billion at previous year’s level.
Outlook for 2015 confirmed: Slight sales increase expected, EBIT before special items likely to match level of 2014.
