Okay, so I searched high and low for spice racks that were not too ornate, did not attach to cabinet doors, nor take up space on my countertop (which has no space at all). So I was shopping at the dollar store and saw these tray holder/baskets, 3 for $1, and bingo, I had an idea! I used Gorilla glue to attach the baskets to a rectangular acrylic sheet (you could use wood, or something else), but now I have a spice rack to hang on the wall to hold all those small spices and packets of seasonings, making more room in my cabinet. Yeah!

Currently waiting on the Lord. For I know that unless Christ leads the way, we can do nothing! I acknowledge that my season is changing and I need to patiently wait until the Spirit moves me this way that. Praise God for his goodness and mercy in Christ Jesus.

So many creative people, so many great ideas, I just can't stand it... I need to make something!

I love working with paper and glue. You can make almost anything with the right mold. I went big this time. Here's what I made... a trough, or it could be a large bowl for a table. It does take many, many layers to make a sturdy bowl, allowing to dry completely between layers.

Thank you Father in the name of Jesus for the peace that surpasses all understanding during this trying time.

On human relationships, this song comes to mind taken from an old hymn book, which I have for some reason never forgotten... "We sigh for human love from which a whim or chance may sever, but leave unsought the love of God, though God's love lasts forever." I believe we should set our sights on pursuing the love of God; that God in return may cause human love to increase towards us.

Paper machete is one of my favorite mediums to use. I am currently working on a large tabletop or wall display bowl (or trough if you will), I'll update when I'm done. But I am posting other of my paper machete craft items.

My thoughts of God are sweet this morning. I am thinking how our God in Christ Jesus does not just sit up high and look low. He is an interactive God. He is actively involved in all aspects of the lives of his children; teaching us, and guiding with his eye (Psalm 32:8), giving grace and favor, providing all things that we need in this life (2Peter1:1-4); with peace (John 14:27). O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man that trusteth in him. (Psalms 34:8)

Sunny days are just calling to me to do something, be creative, be inspired, make some music.  I know that the sun is still always shining above the clouds, but there's something about seeing the sun shine through my windows and/or on my face that makes me smile.  Thank you Lord that we still have sunshine.
