Check out who popped in for a visit today! After sharing an incredible journey on Dancing with the Stars, today it was Bindi’s chance to show Derek Hough around her incredible home here at Australia Zoo! The day kicked off with a visit to Africa to meet our gentle giant, DJ the rhino. We’re so thrilled to officially welcome Derek to our Wildlife Warrior family!

Crikey! Check out our beautiful fierce snake ‘Sasha’ who has just finished shedding! Fierce snakes produce the most toxic venom of any snake in the world - one bite could kill 100 adults! While there have been no recorded deaths from inland taipans, it’s always important to never approach a wild snake. Remember if you leave them alone, they’ll leave you alone!

Lueka is our cheeky yellow-tailed black cockatoo and a star in our daily Wildlife Warriors show! He thinks he can give Bindi a run for her money since her win on Dancing with the Stars and hasn't stopped showing off to his keepers! See him for yourself, cruising around each day in the Crocoseum!

Woo-Hoo! We’ve named our baby rhino! Welcome to the Australia Zoo family, Humphrey! We can’t wait to watch this little beauty grow big and strong just like his dad DJ. Thanks to everyone who joined us for the Australia Zoo Festival and submitted a name through RACQ (Official)! Humphrey is still chilling out with his mum behind the scenes but it won’t be long before he can be seen on the African Savannah here at the Zoo! To find out more about rhinos and how you can help protect them, head to: www.wildlifewarriors.org.au

Look who has been helping us out with our Halloween decorations! It was a team effort from all our lemurs in the tree house on Bindi’s Island, but this little guy couldn’t help but show his love, seeming to kiss the pumpkin on the cheek! We can’t wait to celebrate Halloween and so much more this weekend at the Australia Zoo Festival! http://bit.ly/1Pigxud

By far the most emotional zoo I've attended. Lots of cool animals and you can tell the staff loves what they do. Very cool shows and highlights of Steve. Food prices were not too bad actually. Spent the full day here loving it. Great military discount as well.

Best zoo I have been to ever. At this zoo the enclosures are massive made this way to give the animals a better life, this does mean you don't get to see them all or get as close but I would rather see the animals better looked after than kept in small enclosure so the paying guests get to see them. Throughout the hole zoo you are reminded that Steve loved animals and his family, what an amazing guy he was wish I had the pleasure of seeing him in action. Well done with this place guys highly recommend.

Staff are always amazing here and full of so much knowledge. Loved our day was fantastic. If i had to say one thing is wish there was a little more shade in the carpark, we had to wait a while for bubs seat to cool down. Highly recommend.

If you're happy to make a donation then by all means visit Australia Zoo. It was sparsely populated with animals considering the numbers of people visiting. You can pet a kangaroo and koala at any zoo in Aussie. The main show wasn't too bad.

Finally got to see the zoo! So much to see. Highly recommend for anyone. There is free transport if you don't like walking. The tiger cubs were awesome. We got to see them swimming and playing.

A perfect day out to take family, friends or S.O.s. The ticket prices are high but for the day's experience and the amount you will see it's well worth it. The food within the grounds isn't always the greatest and it's fairly pricey so I would recommend eating well before you go. The zoo staff are lovely and always up for a chat. Some of their stories about what they've done and where they've been are truely inspirational.

Without doubt the cleanest 'zoo' I have ever been too. The animal enclosures are more substantial than most zoos and there is definitely a focus on the welfare of the animals. Lots of friendly staff around, food acceptable, very professional shows and facilities. Without doubt it's worth the $59 entrance price and I'm surprised it's that cheap considering how expensive the running costs of the place must be. The only off putting element is the almost cult like obsession with the Irwin family, but I guess they deserve the praise and if it makes money then well done.

Have wanted to go here for years and finally made it. One of the nicest kept parks I have been to. You could go here just to look at the gardens and nothing else. The animal show in the crocoseum was brilliant. Watching the crocodiles bring fed was great but the birds flying around was far better in my opinion especially the massive condor the flys in like a giant shadow. A bucket list place to visit
