A member of the citrus family, tangelos were originally developed from a cross between a tangerine and either a pomelo or a grapefruit, and are often referred to as 'honeyballs'.
Tangelos are in season between July and October, so perfect at the moment, and are best stored in the fridge or at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
Peel, juice or eat in segments like an orange, but remember to remove the seeds if using in cooking and wash the skin under cold water before peeling, grating or zesting. Enjoy! #Tangelo #PickofWeek #Fruit +Aussie Farmers Direct
