The nerve. Absolute rudeness throughout the phonecall i had with two representatives of this college contact me and honestly speaking I know it's late but just because I don't respond with lightening speed does not give you the right to ne rude. If you wanted to make this college look bad congratulations you two suceeded. I called twice because the first man hung up in my face because I told him who was assisting me with my tuition was asleep at the moment didn't ask if I had any questions or anything. The other hung up in my face while I was still talking also calling me a liar as soon as I got on the phone. If this is the type of people you have working to represent your school I question the type of image you're going for.

I started Ashworth College, 2 months ago, working on by B.S. in Business Administration, I like online learning have taken several courses at different colleges. Really like the affordable tuition plan; it's my desire to finish college I'm at 28%. I have an associate degree already. I have recommended Ashworth College to others. I dislike that I cannot get an in school deferment; but like knowing that they are recognized by the Department of Education and is part of the college clearing house for transcripts. Working toward my goal to graduate from Ashworth in for a great journey!!!

I am a recent graduate of Ashworth with a degree in Marketing. I currently have a career in marketing with one of the US's largest and most respected resort/outdoor recreation companies. I am also in the process of obtaining my Masters from Capella, which is an institution that holds the same regional accreditation as all the state colleges around this region (HLC-NCA). Transferring from Ashworth was harder than transferring from community college when attempting to move between institutions holding different accreditation standards. Not all brick and mortar schools view alternative methods of education as valid and subsequently the distance education accreditation that they hold. The education I received was on par with my experience at state college with obvious exceptions in learning styles. Ashworth is more akin to homeschooling. It is up to you to be motivated and willing to budget your effort. You’ll be utilizing the same text books as state but will be in a situation where you won’t have a teacher to explain every detail should you need it. You also must be prepared to succeed. Given the opportunity, I admit that I would have gladly abandoned an accounting course once I had a passing grade but the college would not allow me to move forward until I had passed every exam, quiz, and assignment. This is a detail I did not realize until well into the curriculum but is for the best. If you’re dedicated, driven, and a self-learner, this could be for you. If you need to hear a teacher’s opinion on every detail, this is probably not for you. If you’re up for it, it’s a great alternative to traditional lecture based education. I would score 4 ½ stars if I could. This is due to communication being slower than I would have liked from the school.

Not sure why I see negative reviews but I have been with this school for quite some time and over all, even during my enrollment I have never had an issue with them. I read through the contract/terms carefully, asked questions thoroughly before I agreed to anything. Topping that they are accredited by the Better Business Bureau. PLEASE i just encourage you do your research before you make your choice and commitment to a school. Overall, I havent had any problem even after enrollment and now during course study. I LOVE ASHWORTH and refer them to friends of mine all the time and they have not had any issues at all

Currently attending, I originally had my doubts as well. I have checked with the US department of education and they have confirmed that Ashworth is indeed accredited and certified. Same accreditation as Penn Foster and others

I enrolled in a animal tech certification program and I wish I would have looked into the school's accreditation more thoroughly. I did this for fun and it's not that I thought the learning material was terrible, I just don't find it worth the cost. I paid around $800 for the program but the exams were a breeze. The problem is they don't have anyone to monitor the assessments so there's no way to tell if someone is cheating. Anyone could get a degree / certification here. I wish I knew about accreditation too because they aren't accredited by a good organization. Now I know if I want a legitimate, highly qualified school, I'll look for their accreditation to be regional or national. Sure, the animal tech certification can assist with getting a job with animals but it's easy for someone to come out of the program and enter the work field knowing nothing. If I could do everything over, I'd just purchase similar reading material because that's about the same in my eyes. I wouldn't trust getting a bachelors degree here because it wouldn't transfer to other qualified schools. Fortunately for me, I have a bachelors degree and am working on my MBA at Western Governors University. If you're looking for an online school with excellent accreditation at a reduced cost, definitely look at WGU. It doesn't offer certifications in Animal Tech but there are various bachelors and masters programs there.

I am an independent learner and Ashworth would have provided me the opportunity to learn at my own pace. In addition, I am given the chance to understand the content, and not forced to meet deadlines or forced to study just to pass an exam. This is my third program with them and I will recommend them to anyone who wish to be qualified based on what they learned and not because they passed an exam. Thanks Ashworth!

Ashworth College has been an amazing school for me. It is affordable and I dont have to go to a LIVE classroom. But this cutting edge educational approach is effective and balanced.
