NY Waterway is floating the idea of a bus service to and from the Middletown ferry terminal that would pick up customers from as far south as Spring Lake.

The ferry operator began to collect opinions from customers Wednesday morning "to see if there is a demand for this," according to spokesman Pat Smith.

Two men with ties to Monmouth County were arrested Wednesday and charged with insider trading in a scheme that generated more than $3.2 million in profits, authorities said.
Steven Costantin of Howell and Paul Petrello, formerly of Brielle, were charged with insider trading.

Where are the wayward beluga whales spotted Sunday in the Navesink River? No one quite knows.

There hasn't been a spotting confirmed by Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine since Sunday, however one Asbury Park Press reader said she spotted the whales Monday.
There haven't been any new confirmed sightings of the beluga whales at the Jersey Shore. The three marine mammals were spotted in the Navesink and Shrewsbury rivers on Sunday, May 31, 2015. The Marine Mammal Stranding Center in Brigantine, New Jersey is monitoring them.
