“warped sexual assault statistics are pummelled under stick and foot, with all three members laying their catharsis upon a single drum kit. Yelped voices and vibrant playsuit colours project forth, as the group tip between skeletal punk, thunderous tribe and the brink of total collapse”...

"Day-Glo symbolized the shift from natural to synthetic. We weren't buying cotton any more but Bri-Nylon. It was a great time, people were discovering things with technology. Bri-Nylon you could wear to school and your mum didn't have to iron it." Poly Styrene

Personally, I dislike the type of arts that you may see in the Arnolfini eg: dance - a women sitting around a table talking to a few spectators, then interpreting their conversation through dance. For some this may be fabulous but not for me. In addition, a couple of times I had popped in to discover that there was pretty much nothing there. The cafe is nice though.

Relaxed atmosphere. Outside seating. Relatively cheap beer in town at 4 per pint

Interesting exhibitions and performances, well-stocked bookshop, friendly staff, tasty if pricey café/bar/restaurant.

A great gallery, all I'd ask is that it were bigger. They have some very worthwhile exhibitions going on most all of the time and it's in a really handy location. The layout gives a very airy, light feel and they have a nice cafe too which provides free water. Sometimes there is even cucumber in it.
