#Election2014  - GOP WINS CONTROL OF US SENATE

Republicans will take control of the Senate after Thom Tillis defeated Sen. Kay Hagan in North Carolina, marking the sixth seat needed for a majority. Other pickups for the GOP were Cory Gardner (R-CO), Shelley Moore (WV), Rep. Tom Cotton (Ark.), Mike Rounds (SD) and Steve Daines (Mont.).

Here are the results so far:

KENTUCKY - Sen. Mitch McConnell will keep his seat in Kentucky, based on reports by exit polls by the AP and CNN.

SOUTH CAROLINA - In South Carolina, Lindsey Graham (R) and Tim Scott (R) in South Carolina also won their respective Senate races. South Carolina Republican Gov. Nikki Haley easily beat her Democrat challenger.

WEST VIRGINIA - West Virginia's Shelley Moore Capito projected to become the first GOP pick up for the Senate.

A number of nearby star systems have large amounts of exozodiacal light (white zodiacal light seen from Earth is pictured), said ESO astronomers Nov. 3. Principal filming on "Star Wars" is believed to have wrapped on Oct. 31, based on a note from director J.J. Abrams and the movie's producers. The original tweet containing the note thanking the cast and crew was later deleted. Stars of the film were also spotted at a wrap party in London on the evening of Nov. 1.
