I wrote about #harassment via images, emojis and other typically harmless characters using eggplant #emoji as an example. The first Facebook commenter told me to kill myself.
The harmless purple character is being used as a symbol of sexual power and degradation

In which +Edna Ishayik talks about all the street food we ate in Cartagena, #Colombia
Snoop around the verdant public squares, church plazas and along the ancient wall of colonial-era Cartagena, and you’ll find some of the city’s best eats. Though the UNESCO World Heritage site has rec

Though Cannes was dripping in luxury, the quiet Suquet neighborhood is a favorite for all types of visitors.

There's an island just off the coast of Cannes where monks are making wine right now. #travel
With scenery like this, you can’t go wrong with a day trip to Monte Carlo. Both the boating culture and train accessibility in Cannes makes it the perfect base location for myriad destinations, and you’ll be back with plenty of time to participate in film-festival parties, too. The most popular day trip is probably the excursion to Monte Carlo. Though you can also take a lengthy cruise, the fastest way to Monaco is via train.

I stayed in Wenceslas Square, home to major political and social protests through Prague's history, and most recently the Occupy movement in Prague.
The best of Prague in just two days is a well-paced travel experience with a guided tour group, or as a solo adventure.

There's a pug photo in this post. And lots of wine.
Wine tasting in Wachau Valley, Austria takes on added meaning with an understanding of the UNESCO World Heritage Site's history and culture.

ICYMI, I called out the "engagement trap" and told everyone to give up their terrible #comments
Unmanaged comments sections are harmful to readers and publications.

Behind the red carpet and the view for everyone else.
Visiting the Cannes Film Festival is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but can also be totally overwhelming.

I did my best to party like a celeb in Cannes, but here's how you can do it if you're more adept at luxury.
You don’t have to be an actress like Juliette Binoche and Chloe Grace Moretz to live it up in Cannes. (AP Photo/Alastair Grant) The 67th Festival de Cannes just ended amid screening reviews, hordes of black cars and wall-to-wall evening attire marching down the Promenade de la Croisette. Regardless of whether it’s your first time here or they know your name at La Palais, it’s difficult to go without feeling like a celebrity in Cannes, a city tha...

I spent all of my euros in this flea market in the center of #Cannes   far from the souvenir shops. I came back from with a vintage Chanel scarf, but what I really wanted was the painting in this photo.
