Good advice! Mowing high and using a sharp bladed mulching mower is the best thing you can do for your lawn.  I agree with almost all of it except the minimum heights for the species of grasses at the bottom.  The only way to keep the grass healthy at those lowest heights is to really pour the water and fertilizer to it.  Better to go with the upper heights, or even a little higher. That way, the grass is more drought tolerant and has a healthier root system.

You're done watching the paint dry...now what do you do with the cans of leftover paint?

Keep painting.  Use it to make artwork if you can't find any more walls or furniture to paint.  If it's a neutral color, use it to prep canvasses or anything else you need a base coat on.

You asked for a review of A1 foundation repair service. It has been a couple of years since they came to help us but I remember how pleased we were with their attention to detail, the expertise, and how they included us in every move they made to completion. It was very dramatic watching the process and seeing cracks disappear before our eyes. Their work passed inspection by the engineer as we expected it would. I have not hesitated to refer this company to our neighbors. The men were of good character and aimed to satisfy us with their work and conduct.

I was on the phone with Dane Paff yesterday (6/10/15). He helped me understand why on earth I would want to pay for the membership to Angie's List. During his explination it became clear that I could get some value out of Angie's List. I'm a first time home owner looking to do some work on my home and Angie's List is going to help me find the vendors I want to work with. Dane was kind enough to offer me a discount on top of it all. At the end of my signup process Dane offered to search some of the vendors I might be interested in. He asked "what projects are you looking to accomplish in your new home?" I gave him a few things I wanted to try and get done and he sent me a list of vendors for each job. It will be a great jumping off point for my new place!

Dear Angie's List, I've always held your company in high esteem and have been proud to talk about you as one of the companies others should emulate more. This is why I was more than disappointed to learn that as part of your email opt-out process you require the user to enter the email address they want to opt out. Every link in your message is coded for precise tracking so I can only imagine that you require the email address on the opt-out page to create a friction element to prevent a percentage of people from actually opting out. Coding this page to require just a click confirmation is simple and would do a lot to prevent damage to your good reputation. In addition the Contact Us response form on your web page requires a topic selection for which the field never shows up! Thus making it impossible to use the form and provide feedback. Please correct this issue so i can update my review. Sincerely, Andre Vatke Marketing Consultant New Albany, OH

Angie's list? More like Scam Me List. Thanks for the reoccurring deduction from my PayPal account. Contractors pay to get to the top of the "list". Can't even make a profit on their own so they go begging for a government hand out. No one would missed them if they closed. Soooo many other places to get the same info on contractors for free.

This was my second experience with Stanley Plumbing. As before they were on time, very efficient, well-priced and explained everything. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Incomplete information. I subscribed to Angie's list a couple years ago to look at companies to put down a new driveway. Could not find a company that was recommended to me by a friend who had heard they were a good company. The company was not on Angie's listed when I searched for pavement companies. It turns out the company was awful and found out afterward that if you search the exact name of the company you can find these "hidden" companies. It turns out they hide companies that do not comply with their rules.

Total scam. They sell "deals" that they know wont be delivered on. I bought a $98 deal and then the vendor tried to charge me an additional $200. Researching on YELP showed me that this particular vendor Magnolia Locksmith does this to almost everyone. It is how they run their business. Total rip off!!!!!! Angie's list should be shut down permanently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
