We’ve started rolling out Android 4.0.4, Ice Cream Sandwich, to UMTS/GSM Nexus S, Xoom Wi-Fi, and HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus devices, and we'll be rolling it out to more devices in the coming weeks. Some of you will be receiving Ice Cream Sandwich for the first time, while others will be receiving an update to your existing Ice Cream Sandwich experience with stability improvements, better camera performance, smoother screen rotation, improved phone number recognition and more.

Wait, does this mean that the Galaxy Nexus LTE (Verizon) ICS 4.0.2 is not getting upgraded to 4.0.4?

[Edit]: Just heard that Galaxy Nexus LTE will be getting 4.0.5 in the coming weeks. I guess we are safe now..
still hanging on the Note
I hope this update come to SGS2 because the recent update have many bugs!
How about us Verizon Nexus owners? This is why I got a nexus in the first place
I hope this fixes all the little problems I've being having. But have to say ICS is so much better then gingerbread. Well done guys.
+Android Is it possible to get actual ICS 4.0.4 for Xperia without Sony's modified version ?
At last !!!!!!!

(But first :P)
Looking forward to getting it on my HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus. Is the AT&T Nexus S (I9020A) included with this push?
How about the GNex LTE? You said that it would get updates from you. How is it not ready at the same time as these others?
Finally! Been waiting since December last year for this... :-/ Looking forward to the update arriving on my Nexus S.
Awesome news please include Galaxy Y or Young too into upgrade list :) Love Ice cream Yummy :D
My Nexus S (I9020A) is anxiously waiting for this update
Finalmente arriva!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully the Nexus S 4G sees the LOVE soon, too! PLEASE! I really don't want to unlock again to force update.
mmmmm. ice cream sandwich.
I imagine the NS4G will be last as always .
Yeah, of COURSE Verizon's Galaxy Nexus isn't included.

It really ISN'T a Nexus .. if Google can't push updates DIRECTLY to it.

I hate Verizon.
Hey Google, Push Verizon on this, you chodes took forever to release it for the GSM nexus, I can only imagine how the CDMA peeps have to wait.
Im never buying a nexus support for cdma
What about the signal issues? This seems to be the biggest complaint with the Verizon Nexus, and I had thought that 4.04 was meant to address this.
I was just looking at the Windows Phone honestly I was. I may switch next month.... get rid of Google and Sprint.
Android upgrades are a joke. Typically if you want a new version it means buying a new phone. I thought buying the GNex on Verizon would be different but here I am with a phone that reboots randomly. Looks like Google really delivered on their promise to work better with manufacturers and carriers to push updates.
toro isn't really a nexus anymore, plus no one at google is going to read and address requests for other devices so it's a waste of time to ask. Vote with your wallet, don't patronize the nexus line ever again because you've seen the level of support you can expect first hand.
LTE nexus update to 4.0.5 is rumored for April
No sign of this yet on my HSPA Galaxy Nexus in Canada... Wind Mobile. Still on 4.0.1 in fact, what gives?
Narjs... Refreshing my Galaxy Nexus like a mad man! :-D
How about my sweet Sony/Google TV?
Will updated system images be made available for 4.0.4 on the GSM Galaxy Nexus?
Thanks for the royal screw to first-day Xoom owners.
+Mike Kelly I can say that with 4.0.4 it does not random reboot as it did with 4.0.2. I have been running 4.0.4 for couple of month and no, I do not work at Google. I found a way to install 4.0.4 on my VZW GN.
Will there ever be ICS for my S2 :-(
+Thomas Schwartz You should be saying, "I'm never buying a Verizon device again." I love my Verizon Galaxy Nexus, but any delays are Verizon's fault.

That said, my phone JUST rebooted...curious...
+Randy Kelly I'm not expecting perfection, I just thought owning a Nexus device meant first to receive updates.
Hope the LTE Galaxy Nexus is soon!

Sort out your ICS release for your UK sim-free G2 owners first. +Android

Any plans to release this for my Babbage Difference Engine? Come on already!!!
Thank You GOOOGLE. I LOVE you Guys!!!
Yeah, so don't care. I'll never be purchasing a Nexus device again as I have the unfortunate "curse" of being with Sprint. I don't care what the excuse is, there's no reason ANY non nexus device should have had ICS before we got it and there's very little excuse as to why the dammed GSM Nexus gets 2 ICS updates before we get a hint of a date on when we'll ever see one. The only reason I deal with Samsung's awful GPS and cell radios was to get these updates faster than others, not slower.
i love andriod might get one
<start sarcasm> Oh my God! I have a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and I can't believe that although I have ICS 4.02, I am being left out of 4.04! This is an outrage, mind you I have no idea what that upgrade means, or how will it affect me, or even if I will notice a difference. Google, you suck for releasing a Nexus device on Verizon, because I will be missing all those features that I have no idea what they do for a few more weeks <end sarcasm> People give it a rest.
Finallllyyyyyyyy. (sent from my nexus s)
Will we ever have a chance to get an upgrade for Nexus One? I don't think it's right to abandon it this way, there are still many people using it, it's a great phone!
Awesome (Nexus S user in New Zealand), I tried updating manually but it failed, now I just have to wait for Vodafone to get on the case with the OTA update!
I'm ready and waiting for my ICS on my RAZR!!!
WOW.. makes my G1 look like a dinosaur to say the least.
This seals the deal - getting rid of HTC and switching to the Nexus S for the native Android experience!
Eveyrone needs to realize that unless you have a Nexus, your updates do not come from Google. Stop asking the +Android team where your update is for your Sony, HTC, etc. device.
CDMA Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus will get it soon too.
+Android Can you confirm that this will not be restricted to just the GSM/HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus in the USA? Will the GSM/HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus in Canada receive this update as well?
+Thomas Schwartz Out of all my Nexus devices, not a single problem(GSM):

Hello! This is a quick clarification about support for CDMA devices.

For various technical reasons, recent CDMA Android devices implement core telephony functionality in .apk files provided in binary form by the carriers. To function correctly, these .apk files must be signed by the so-called "platform" key. However, when an individual creates a custom build from the AOSP source code, they don't use the same signing key as these CDMA flies were signed with.

The result is that these files don't work properly, and pure AOSP builds running on these devices can't place calls, access mobile data, and so on. Because we aim to make sure that we are as clear as possible about the degree of support that devices have, we updated the docs over at to reflect this reality.

We will still make available as many as possible of the closed-source binaries for these devices, and Nexus devices will continue to have unlockable bootloaders. And, of course, GSM/HSPA+ devices are still supported, as are any other devices we're able to support. We've simply updated the documentation to be clearer about the current extent of CDMA support.

We are of course always working to improve support, and we'll keep everyone updated as we make improvements. Thanks as always for your interest in AOSP!
That was fast; from push to open project to handsets in hours.
Q Sang
About time!
Why is my Galaxy Nexus still 4.0.2...
Improved phone number recognition.. this sounds good. I had to change many of my phone book entries to include the international dialling code to get it to recognise on my Nexus S.
yeahhhhhhhhhh!!!! Galaxy Nexus!!
Is "we'll be rolling it out to more devices in the coming weeks" code for "Nexus S should START getting it in a month.... maybe"?

Last time you announced something like this, you said:
"We're rolling out Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, to GSM/UMTS Nexus S devices over the coming month, starting today"... and that was December 16, 2011
Nexus S 4G "reference device" = worst coverage network + last in line for Android updates
If you got a device from a carrier, that is your fault that you're not getting the update. Especially all of you asking about non-nexus devices. So stop complaining. Also, Google isn't even responsible to give you any updates at all.
just in time plan to dump my EVO and go back to a iphone
It'll make it to my Charge eventually I'm sure. There again I should be due for an upgrade in a few months...time to watch the grass grow in the mean time...GO!
Any idea if this stability will be added to my Asus Transformer Prime?
And now all the google servers are rendered inaccessible ...
DDOS from all the *#*#checking#*#*'s
Great news, but as a Verizon user, I'm bummed.
Is this for all GNexus versions or just the very few running 4.0.3? I'm still on 4.0.2 and eagerly awaiting any update!
Does this include the non US Xoom or should I apply my US ONLY ANDROID ANNOUNCEMENT filter?
+Jeff Messer and +Colin Stevens ...Google said they haven't even tested Cdma version for one and for two, look how long Google took at updating the Nexus S and even with that, they still haven't updated cdma nexus s...if it does have to do with carrier provisions (which I don't think it does, because they had no problem getting 4.0.2 out right after the LTE Nexus was released) then Google needs to either spend more money or grow some balls and stand up to the carriers.
I love you guys making my great phone even better
Happy to hear.. I have the original ICS on My Nexus S (T-mobile) Hope this update helps the battery suckage... Don't see any mention of that though.. I keep wondering if the Google IO Samsung Tab is ever going to get any love??
Josh Noel
Does that mean Sprint Nexus S 4g as well? I have heard that it will be pushed out in April.
??? what about us Verizon Nexus folks???
Do you need data, Wi-fi or neither to receive the update?
Important detail: EVERYWHERE? Or just US?
It is a few days early for an April Fool's joke.
Is this US only or is the rest of the world gunna get this?
Oh, c'mon! Wtf?! Why is it so difficult for you guys to get ANYTHING to the NS4G? I understand there's a lot of stuff going on and I can't do any better, but the main reason I got this phone was for Google support and I'm very much regretting my decision. If I went with a regular phone, I would know I'd never get updates so it wouldn't be a big deal.
Finally!! My brother got the update when it first rolled out and I didn't and he's been rubbing it in ever since. I need this right away :)
Thats not fair. Only reason i got the phone. I was told it would come out soon.
The devices included in this initial 4.0.4 rollout notably do not include the CDMA version of the Nexus S, known as the Nexus S 4G on Sprint. That device, despite being a Nexus product, is still on the Gingerbread version of Android and has yet to receive any Ice Cream Sandwich-level upgrade. The rollout also does not include the 3G/4G version of the Xoom, which is still on a pre-ICS platform, or the LTE version of the Galaxy Nexus -- better known to those of us in the U.S. as the Verizon Galaxy Nexus -- which is currently on the 4.0.2-level build of the Ice Cream Sandwich OS.
HTC Sensation 4G on T-Mobile, let's go!!!

I know it's on the list for ICS but it can't come soon enough. :)
OOoh really? My friends on other networks have had the ICS update for months! I'll keep an eye out for the update notification on my Nexus S!
Any trick to get this faster rather than refreshing the update page on my GN every 5 mins? :p
This is great, i'm stuck with 4.0.1 since i pretty got the phone right in December..i got a Nexus since i didn't want to mess around with custom ROM's and all that.
good to hear, and hope the updates are swift and soon :-)
Sope y
Waiting patiently for the Galaxy S II's update.
Hopefully it makes its way into AOKP in the next few days
Still waiting here for the Sprint Nexus S 4G to get ICS...
Is the percentage of Android phones running ICS over 1% yet?
can any1 confirm this on i9020a yet
Will this be coming to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0Plus?
ivan G
my Nexus S 4g needs some love too!
Yeah SGS2 with ICS 4.0 has many bugs! Please have a 4.0.4 release version for SGS2!!
When is temple run for android gonna come out??
PLEASE update Verizon LTE Nexus next!
Is there an official change log out there for this update? If so, could someone point me in the right direction? :) Just got my GN a couple weeks ago and still 'feeling things out' so to speak.
+Javier Fuster Really, With all the different Gnex versions and people talking about running 4.0.3 for months now, I figured it was part of a limited roll-out. Btw, does anyone know what versions of the Gnex there are. HSPA+, CDMA, LTE :S What version do I have? Bought mine (GSM) in the Netherlands
Does this mean Galaxy Nexus phones will get the 4.0.4 update in Q3 or Q4, because the 4.0.2 update took about four months to reach us... :-(
Now fix my Transformer Google caus' Asus has done a terrible job with ICS.
Right after i commented on this post, my Galaxy Nexus rebooted. Got so excited that i was getting the update but sadly no change. :(
cool phone so whos hangin' @ the mall tonite?
i have nexus s but there is no update!?
Any news on when the Nexus S 4G will be getting the update?
Still loving the hell out of my Atrix because it works great and does everything I need it to do...
Your lack of support for the Sprint Nexus S 4g has been the greatest consumer disappointment I've had with you yet, Google. It may be a problem stemming from your partnership but you've sold a bill on this as a part of your vanilla, google-branded line and that was a large part of my rationale for buying it. Coverage problems come in a close 2nd for me, but you're really doing yourself a disservice with this now. I wonder how many months it will take you to get to what was your flagship phone the morning that you launched ICS. Unimpressive.
+Jeff Messer : "That said, my phone JUST rebooted...curious..."

Hopefully the upcoming upgrade will fix that. ;)
Cant wait for the update to be pushed out to my phone! :)
Will it come out on dell streak 7? Can you please try?
+Eyad Alkhayat Spamming the update button on a Chromebook works, not sure if it does a thing on Android :)
It was declared that Version is testing it, and that 4.0.5 is coming to Galaxy Nexus in the coming weeks
Let's hope this is what samsung was waiting for to build their release for the galaxy note
+Jesus Fernandez you mean like fix the broken camera. There are actually fixes in the 4.0.4, not just a bunch of stuff that verizon owners want just to want...
About time!!! Seriously though, i'd rather get a stable product late than an unstable one quick.
Just checked the Motorola website andy phone gets the update :)
Gee and me without an active phone.
Will it come to the world? I mean, the real world - not the USA only...
A update for my HTC Vivid needs to come soon.
we (Gnex on Vzn) were promised direct updates from Google....i'm still on 4.0.2.....what gives?
I'd like to see it for my Fascinate, but Verizon is terrible about updating phones that they don't sell anymore. Cause they want you to buy a new one to extend your contract :(
tony g
Wird ja auch mal zeit!!!!!
I'm pretty disappointed about the CDMA situation since I have the Verizon Galaxy Nexus. Now there are fragmented Nexus devices. I know about the situation with the CDMA devices but this wasn't until after I bought my phone. Apple doesn't seem to have a problem updating their Verizon phones.
Google, this is NOT how you update your fucking NEXUS phones on Verizon. Why does it have to go through Verizon? Apple doesn't. Microsoft doesn't. Why the hell can't you?
Any news 4 xperia updates ?'
I'm I do only person who has Ice Cream sandwich on my phone.....I have A Nexus S, I've had this Operating System since Dec....
Where are the factory image files (galaxy nexus - 4.0.4) ?
Agreed with all CDMA GNex users, so much for being the flagship "Google" device. Google GNex CDMA 4G LTE = Fail!
+Aaron Lasley Since the update has to be blessed by VZW because of the CDMA binaries which VZW or Sammy has to approve first, then yes but there is a VZW 4.0.4 leak out there even with instructions on how to install without unlocking the boot loader or rooting your phone.

Also, I read that VZW is testing 4.0.5 and should be pushed out maybe next week.
So confused at all the phone versions ! I have a i9020a Nexus S on UMTS/GSM (Rogers) in Canada... I assume I'll get the update, but we'll see...
Great, but CDMA version would be a hell yea!!!
Yeahhh in europe we are at 4.0.2 on
Where the hell is ICS for the Nexus S 4G? If your not going to update it anytime soon at least give us a f@*$ing time frame
On Verizon with Gnex. So much for the "pure" experience! What gives!
Does anyone read and comprehend anymore. Every question asked here is answered in the damn post. So you gotta wait til your devices turn on the push list. God forbid you don't get it first. If you don't wanna wait the root your damn phone and upgrade it yourself. Otherwise chill out and wait.
Is android voice command the equivalent of siri? Just wondering cuz I'm getting upgraded soon :)
Hopefully it comes out for most older androids. It sure would be nice to upgrade my OS
I am still waiting for Samsung to update my Galaxy Tab...
I wish my phone could use Ice Cream Sandwich. :D
Of course nothing for the cdma lte... shocker
I only wish.... I am trying to upgrade my 2.3 Tablet.
The following is a quote from the Sprint ad for the NS4G..... from the last post I did....... Who will love it: Android-powered players who want the latest Google Apps™ and OS updates as soon as humanly possible........ NOT.
gggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg ggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg thanks god for that, was worrying that I would actually have to put custom rom onto my nexus s
hurry up and Rollout Motorola Photon ICS,hopefully they get rid of Motoblur!!Don't make us wait till Q3 PLEASE!!!
have been trying to manually update with my tmobile nexus s,it keeps telling me error 7 aborted...whats the deal google?
Waiting it to come to my GSM GN..
Will there be Ice Cream Sandwich for an At&t HTC Inspire 4G?
I'll believe it when I see it, I bought my factory unlocked and sim free GS2 on day one, I am very disappointed with the way this update has been released.
Can i update my HTC Sensation
This is EXACTLY how the Nexus One would have turned out on VZW. Google was smart then not to allow it. My guess is, no more nexi for VZW. This is a disaster. And Google needs to realize that people buy the Nexus for prompt software updates, not just unlockable bootloaders. FAIL Google, FAIL Verizon.
Android sucks!!!!!!!!! Apple is so much better!!!! Apple made the first smart phone (iPhone),and then Android got created to copy it, even though it isn't NEARLY as good as the iPhone. Then Apple made the first tablet (iPad), and then Android tried (and failed) to copy it!
Apple rocks!!!!!! Android sucks!!!!!!!!!!
When are you going to fix the problems I have been having with this rollout??? It shuts off by it self, it doesn't want to turn on, it deletes my documents killed my battery life....
Just got it for s2 on o2. Lost my play lists and screen layouts so make a note of them
My galaxy Nexus started at 4.0.1 got the 4.0.2 OTA (good thing too as I was getting the volume bug) but had never received 4.0.3... What are the odds of 4.0.4 actually getting pushed OTA?
improved phone number recognition Thats enough!! :-)
Sean G
+Android can you make it standard that devices boot in Native android. & Sense, Touchwiz & Motoblur are a Launcher type. If i make sense? Ha.
Igor M
Where is the ROM for Evo 3D?
OK when was the last time I saw this exact statement, Oh yes December when again the roll out started for the gsm version and we the owners of the cdma nexus s 4g phones again are still in the dark. You know to blame it on 4g is stupid Sprint isn't even going to continue to support that. Naturally after paying for it for years now the xtra 10 monthly they stop the roll out before it even reaches my area. This has been one of the most disappointing purchases I have ever made.
When will you guys roll it out to Nexus S owners in Pakistan? :-/
I was going to buy the Sprint Galaxy Nexus but if Google is going to treat it the same way as it's doing with the Nexus S 4G I might just change carriers.
Sean G
It will Melt B4 devices are updated. This is a slow RollOut?!
Erica C
Starting to regret buying a G-Nex through Verizon...WE GET NO love!! First a crappy dock and now this....
Is that the one with the facial recognition?
Someone said, "Thank you Android, u the best.". I disagree, totally regret giving my sister my BlackBerry. If it were BlackBerry, the update would have already happened, I'd have a media player that doesn't suck, my email, Facebook and Twitter messages would actually arrive on time. That's just a few of the things I miss about BlackBerry. This is the last time I behave like a Sheeple.
This unit works fine. How can it be improved?
Why did I bother buying a Nexus????
Nice! Can't wait till I get home and hopefully my Xoom and Nexus will be getting the update pushed to it.
I believe this will be the last Nexus device I will ever buy. The only reason I bought it was for the early upgrades I had an EVO 4g and now a galaxy s2 4g. Better phones I feel but since the Nexus s was supposed to get early updates I bought it as well. Now even non nexus phones in the US not abroad are getting the update before us and we still have no definite word on a date.
is der an update for HTC Explorer/Pico ???
You guys are toying with the emotions of SGSII owners worldwide!.. Launch the update already & enough with the "coming soons!" when can we 'properly' buy a GSM Galaxy Nexus in the states...?
hmmm .. i'll be waiting for an update a long time, 'coz my HTC Desire HD is a lil' old 4 this stuff =/
Looking forward to this on my Verizon Galaxy Nexus, hoping it comes soon!
B Chu
lol @ all you Verizon GN users complaining about not getting 4.04 when you're already on 4.03.
My Bell Galaxy Nexus (Canada) is still on 4.01, and I wouldn't be surprised if Canada is once again excluded for the 4.04 OTA.
Waiting for this fantastic update on GSM Galaxy Nexus alias maguro :D
Patiently waiting for my upgrade!
finally... but when others get ICS the next Android will be out! it never ends.
Google is pushing the update for Verizon in April
How does one push the ice update?
+Andrew Martonik I have those phones in the galaxy s 2 and I like them but they never made the statement when I bought them that they would be first in line for updates you would have seen that had you read my post.
So much for Google doing what's right by NS4G owners. If you can't include us in the update (as was promised), at least have the decency to let us know what is going on and an ETA.
Stop whinging! Us GSM GNex owners were here before you LTE ones. Bring on 4.0.4 =]
I'd just like any update for my HTC Glacier. Crazy enough, my partner who's account it is got an update a week ago, but me? Nope, not happening apparently
I have this error because I have the 4.0.3 ... it means?

Well, no love for Sprint's Nexus S 4G?!
Wat will be its cost......
Where is ics for galaxy s2
Are you subliminally telling me to leave Verizon
when is this going to happen?
yeah, i remember them......PETER'S made them in the 50's, and they were bonzer.
Selective updating of a few devices while others wait and wait. What a shit-show.
I get updates directly from Google and I'm stuck on 4.0.2 \(- . -)/
Looking forward 2C what's different if anything at all. Hope I can get a little bit more battery life if nothing else major.
what about the galaxy note???
Nice... I'm waiting... in Nigeria... hope it meets me here
What about for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus?
+Tod Anderson Android is not doing any of that, as that would be deemed illegal. Do you even have any clue on what your talking about?
Looking forward for DROID Bionic upgrade
Bought the Nexus S with the idea as a "vanilla" or "standardized" Android experience it would have the best chance to keep up with the latest OS. Well my service is Sprint.... heh..... I feel this is a failing for both Sprint and Google to demonstrate their tech skills. Since Apple seems to have technical mono culture they can keep up with the advances in OS. Since each phone company/manufacturer combination seems to have their own way to get the technical improvements out I am left waiting and waiting for my "standardized" Android experience to get upgraded.
thanks for leaving Nexus S 4G out, once again. Google continues to fail.
HTC Glacier aka my touch 4g also getting an upgrade from tmobile?
I know how it feels Michael Sands. But i am really looking forward to finally getting my phone upgraded :D
So where's the first link to download manually and install? It's been an hour already =]
Waiting for ICS on North American Galaxy S II. :(
+Ziv Naftali ur a dumb kid apple was not first to create a smart phone or a tablet get ur facts right!
Wish it was coming to the thunderbolt...
Would be nice for Droid 3, Viewsonic gtablet, Droid Pro, and the list goes on!
Hope that's good news for my HTC Sensation 4g still waiting for ICS update.
Anyone want to trade their Wifi Xoom for my 4G LTE one?

e: I hate that I paid for Verizon to withhold ICS goodness :(
Seems to me all nexus s owners should get a free no contract upgrade since we signed a contract they are not living up to.
For phones that carriers control (subsidized) I can understand why the update process is broken, but I own a Galaxy Nexus (unlocked) and I had to wait 3 months before I could get an update for 4.0.2. I haven't seen 4.0.3, not sure if I ever will get 4.0.4. I simply fail to understand the update process. Similarly, I fail to understand why so called carrier blocked apps - wallet are still unavailable for unlocked versions as well. Why produce phones with capable hardware without software to take advantage of it? (no accessories that use pogo pins, no NFC based services).
Yeah, I was excited about switching to Android but to be honest I found my old 3Gs more reliable. I actually switched back to the iPhone but iOS 5 runs too slowly on the 3Gs. I'm sure the next iPhone will have a bigger screen, at least updates are more consistant from Apple. No, I'm not a fanboy of Apple, on thr contrary I dislike some aspects of the way Apple runs and treats their customers...
I find it interesting that Apple can release an update to both cdma and gsm at the same time.
What about Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0?
so they are pushing out an update to older class phones an update designed for todays higher spec phones wonder how that disaster is going to work out?
Nexus S 4G owner here. I feel like you guys have abandoned us and broken the Nexus brand promise.
Anyone know whether the Pantech Breakout will be getting 4.0.4 ??
Perhaps it's time to dump Sprint... and maybe Android too!
My wifi Xoom thanks you... the original bump from Honeycomb to ICS was like moving from a Ford to a Ferrari... looking forward to the tweeks in 4.0.4
When will the Nexus S 4G for SPRINT be seeing this update?
I have SE Xperia Arc S. I'm in KSA,I can't update ics 4.0. Why'
Is htc chacha the same as evo? Cause sometimes it says chacha n somtimes it says evo???
+Sandeep Mukthavaram I agree totally everyone wants to bring up the excuse of fragmentation all the different phones and all saying we have to give up streamline update for choice. But I would argue we are not talking about all carrier phones we are talking 2 different phones here galaxy nexus and nexus s the only (GOOGLE) phones slated to be updated what gives.
Thank god. Oh there isn't one.
Jay Tee
Are Motorola Droid users getting an update?
When Nexus S in korea will be updated....?
nothing for nexus s 4g yet on cdma from sprint?
sigh just why can't Android and Apple combine? Android cool features, and Apple's almost no lag or problems.
Its about fuckin time, my reception is horrible!!!
How long does it take for the update to come through? I've got a Nexus S and haven't received the update yet. I can't wait :-/
Do you really mean GSM Nexus S, or do you mean only T-Mobile like last time...
Erik S
I'm looking forward to the smoother screen rotation.. only complaint... ics is awesome..
4.0.4 is awesome, very fast and smooth...!
Again, its about time. I have the Galaxy Nexus and apparently the upgrade will improve the reception!!
For all you Verizon Galaxy Nexus owners, only the GSM version gets updates directly from Google. Becouse of the LTE radio on the Verizons models android has to be tweaked a little to work with LTE. This means that its not running pure android, therefore it gets its updates from Verizon (not Google) if and when they decide to update them.
I am waiting for Samsung Galaxy SIII to get experience of Android ICS 4.0
Factory image? Where is it? Please upload it.
Will this fix the WiFi issue with nexus s?
I WANT ICS for my G2X!!!!!!!!!!!
The Galaxy Nexus is the best phone I have ever owned and I am excited to see what Android 4.0.4 will bring.
+Android +Android Developers you guys really fucked up on the releasing the update, like seriously I'm not to keen on what you guys have done to nexus users. I own a nexus s 4g and a Verizon Galaxy Nexus, and i can't even get a simple release date when my phones will have the update. Highly pissed off that it took this long to update or not even update.
[Update]Beginning with the 4.0.3 -> 4.0.4 OTA update, you are NO LONGER ABLE TO FLASH OTA UPDATES MANUALLY IN STOCK RECOVERY. IT WILL FAIL 100% OF THE TIME. The only way to flash OTA updates on 4.0.3 and later versions using stock recovery is to wait for the OTA notification on your phone, then tap "Reboot and Install".

I get a "Status 7" error. I have a Nexus S i9020T (not rooted) with stock ICS 4.0.3. What can I do?

Please oh please go and have coffee with the facebook crew and sort out all of the facebook related issues in ICS and the Galaxy Nexus. Notifications stopped working properly for me the other day.

How do I get the ICS update for my Nexus S?
If i drop the word LAWSUIT, do you think I could get you to honor your agreement to update the Nexus S?
Still running 4.0.1.......checked for update but it says I am currently running the latest firmware...when will there be updates for HSPA version............
worked on my Nexus S... I19020... however had to disable google+ built in app since it DRAINED my battery like there was no tomorrow. sorry google+, only through my browser will I use you until you fix that battery hogging issue.
Is ICS going to be deployed to the Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0 or are smart phones a priority over media players for now?
It has been a long time coming. I shouldn't have to root my phone just to get the newest updates so my radio will give me PROPER signal output.

Update:  I give up.  Unlocked, Rooted, Rom installed.  Now running 4.0.4.

It has been a month. What's the status on the Galaxy Nexus update? I bought into the nexus line for quicker more current updates. Losing hope already.
I have not seen a hint of an update related to 4.0.3 or to 4.0.4 on my phone. What can one do? It's not registered with a carrier and I use various SIMs.
Where's the update for the Galaxy Nexus?? This post about an update was like a month and a half ago. I'm still running 4.0.2 and I'm so ready for the 4.0.4. Also does anyone have a problem posting anything to facebook using the galaxy nexus running 4.0.2 right now?
4.0.3 De Huwaei U8860 bug donc instable, c'est pour quand une mise jour stable..??
htc one v has problem with wifi cream sandwich 4.0.3.......any update for it?? ..........device without wifi is just useless
my galaxy nexus is still on 4.0.1 and its telling me the software is up to date. Why is my phone lying to me?

Found out that you have to have an actual Google build nexus to get the updates on time. I got 4.1.1 jellybean running then sold it when I got my Galaxy S3
Impatiently waiting for ICS to roll out on my HTC Sensation XL
So when is Canada getting this update , anyone know?!?
Now from 4.0.3 to 4.0.4 all when can be jelly bean?((((((
Новое обновление ужасное. Хуже качество Галереи, нет возможности делать скриншоты.
Гугл, верните все обратно!!!
My i9020a (nexus s) is still running 2.3.6
According to Samsung they never said or announced ICS coming to this phone (not true) and there are no plans for it. But I'm not supposed to be upset because Jelly Bean is coming to my phone "soon" which I can only assume means "never"
I want to update android 4.0.4 version becausei I have SONY ERICSSION XPERI RAY ST18i . Is still running android 2.3.6 version I want to update android 4.0.4version . How to updated this version I know
successfully updated my sony Xperia u from 2.3.6 to 4.0.4

Total disaster for Atrix 2! So bad that Motorola is offering $100 rebate when you upgrade to Atrix HD. Too many problems to list for Atrix 2 but no plans to make Jelly Bean avail for Atrix 2. DO NOT USE 4.0.4 on the Atrix 2!!!!!!!
Wew astig hahahahaheheheheh
