This is is the view looking southwest towards Wellington CBD from Heather's lovely hospital room. The service from both the Wellington Hospital (where she had the first operation in mid February) and the Hutt Hospital (where she is now) has been really, really good.

Today when we visited she was sitting up in a chair doing crochet and seeming much better than yesterday when she was on a drip to help with low blood pressure. I think it's partly about when we arrive though - yesterday she was sort of dozing, but also last night they relaxed to four-hourly visits so she actually got a pretty good night's sleep.

Hopefully she'll get to come home on Saturday, though no going out until after easter, I expect. Then, in about six weeks - just when recovery seems to be setting in, they will commence with the baldness inducing concoctions...
