8.01 AT RISK KAI AGE 4 OWNER DUMPED "NO TIME" NEW HOPE ONLY
Hello, my name is Kai. My animal id is #36148. I am a desexed male tan dog at the Manhattan Animal Care Center. The shelter thinks I am about 4 years old.

I came into the shelter as a owner surrender on 28-Jul-2018, with the surrender reason stated as person circumstance- no time for animal.

Sorry, this pet is for new hope partners only.

Kai is at risk for behavior reasons. Kai is very fearful and shut down at the care center. He seeks to avoid interaction, and will growl and lunge when approached. Kai has some areas of alopecia and dermatitis, likely related to allergies he suffers. We are seeking placement for Kai only with a New Hope partner.

If you would like to reserve an animal that is available for public adoption, please follow the instructions on https://newhope.shelterbuddy.com/Animal/List
If an animal is listed as New Hope only, please contact an ACC New Hope partner that is accepting foster/adoption applications: http://www.nycacc.org/get-involved/new-hope/nhpartners

June 18, 2015 Brody came into the shelter as a stray
his owner never came 😢

Brody has the build and athleticism to run a marathon. Brody is definitely a looker. He is tall, slim and muscular. Brody has shown us how he can run like the wind and it takes little encouragement. A home for Brody is one where he will be frequently exercised and have efforts put into continued training. Brody is great at catching treats in the air and especially good at convincing you to throw them his way. Brody knows how to work his magic when he wants that treat in your hand and he will ever so gently use his paw to tell you. He is very proficient at shake paw, and we have even shaped that into him waving. Brody is likely to form strong bonds with his forever humans, and could have the potential to not want to share them with strangers until he gets to know them. Brody is a good catch and in the right home he will excel.

Brody would prefer to be in an only dog home because he wants to be the King and center of all your attention.

Come meet Brody and get ready to fall in love ❤️

Brody #15-363. Arrived 6/18/15 at 4 years old.
