I know what he means. As I have become a caregiver to my mother, I have been forced to become a better daughter and more sensitive and humane person. Since I don't know how much time she has left before she won't know who I am, I want her to be happy, just because I have always wanted her to be happy, and then I can remember this time in a good way.

I'm happy to see people are supporting the cause to cure alzheimers. I'm looking for care in Naples for my grandmother who has it. Hopefully it will be a thing of the past one day.

We won a $75,000 donation from DSW because of YOU, and we couldn't be more grateful! These funds will support vital research, and help the millions living with Alzheimer's and their caregivers. Special thanks to Patti Gilligan, who made this donation possible by nominating the Alzheimer's Association for the DSW Leave Your Mark program. Read Patti's story at http://bit.ly/1wxW5cZ
