I hate this disease. My grandmother (my mom's step mom) has had this terrible disease for awhile now and has been in a nursing home because my grandpa was having hard time taking care of her and his self both. He ended up in the same place as she and he then passed away almost 5 years ago and my grandmother didn't even know because she's so far gone in this terrible disease. This disease is sad and terrible to go through for the patient and their family as she doesn't know anyone at all any more even her own children. Her mother died from this as well as other women in her family no men have been affected by it. I hope one day there will be a cure for this. Please end Alzheimer's

More than 1,000 advocates are heading to Capitol Hill to ask Congress for critical funding to fight Alzheimer’s. Add your voice by joining our Thunderclap. It only takes 1 click. The louder our voices, the more awareness we raise. Increased awareness = increased funding for research. #ENDALZ
It's Time to End Alzheimer's! Alzheimer's is the most expensive disease in the U.S. Tell #Congress to invest in research. It's time to #ENDALZ! http://thndr.it/1C66yRQ. We will post this message on your feed along with other supporters on. March 25 at 9:00AM EDT.

The Grammy for Best Country Song was a big win for Glen Campbell and for Alzheimer's awareness. “I’m so proud of him,” wife Kim Campbell told the crowd. “It’s been an amazing journey. He’s been so courageous in bringing awareness to Alzheimer’s and caregiving." #ENDALZ
Rosanne Cash sweeps Americana categories, and the Band Perry have gramophones for their cover of a Campbell song

We are leading a new, major research study, in partnership with the American College of Radiology, that will enable 18,000+ Medicare beneficiaries to receive coverage for a brain amyloid PET scan. This scan can help doctors clarify the cause of decline in memory/thinking in cases that are difficult to diagnose.
Learn about current Alzheimer's treatments, including FDA-approved medications and treatments on the horizon

And also the members of union 1199, who now take care of the moms/dads/hubbies/wives/uncles/aunts, etc who TOOK CARE OF us when we were young..deserve all our support. Let's give them the respect they deserve, and thank them, by lobbying for paying them a living wage! And together, let's all hope for a day when Alzheimer's is a thing of the past...Thanks, everybody.
