School carpool lanes should be a safe zone, but 1 in 6 drivers are distracted when dropping off their kids.

Wow. 1 in 6 drivers? That's crazy. I know people can be hurried trying to drop off their kids before they go to work, but they should be more aware of what's going on around them. An accident can easily happen where they don't expect it - like school carpool lanes.
I had a friend that was hit by a car going to school. The owner of the car was in a hurry so they didn't scrap the ice off the window. My friend was okay, but they were in the hospital for about a week.
