So I've compiled some of the most eye-opening interviews I've heard on +This Is Hell!.

One of the more punishingly awakening moments is during the Katha Pollitt interview in which she stresses that if the issue of abortion weren't absolutely about the control and domination of women, why would choice opponents care about "how" a woman became pregnant when insisting that rape would be the only criteria conservatives would show any flexibility on, as if to say that if a woman wanted an abortion under any other circumstances, it's because she behaved shamefully and should therefore be forced to have that child as some sort of punishment.

I'll be maintaining this list going forward, but I highly encourage people to check this show out at their own soundcloud page (https://soundcloud.com/this-is-hell) as well as thisishell.net
I like music. Too much. So much that bad music makes me mad.

I'd like to encourage you to Register To Vote.  If you can see your way clear to registering Democrat and voting for Bernie Sanders in the primaries - it would help this country out a lot.  Cheers - it is up to you.

You can download a copy of the indictment at the bottom of the article.
He rose to one of the highest elected offices in the land, serving for eight years as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives — just a couple of heartbeats from the presidency. But past misconduct against a longtime acquaintance from the hometown where Dennis Hastert decades ago taught high school history and coached wrestling …

This Is Why I Hate Downtown, Part I

Rather than focus solely on helping the increasing number of poor on our streets (no thanks to Rahm Emanuel stripping away every social program he can in order to preserve his few pet projects, the little fucker), they single out our city's homeless for abuse.
CCH sent the following letter on May 27 to the Chicago Loop Alliance, taking issue with its new campaign regarding interactions with homeless people downtown. The campaign is described in a story on DNAinfo.com, “Don’t Give to Panhandlers, Give to Charities, New Loop Campaign Advises.” Michael M. Edwards, President & CEO Chicago Loop Alliance 27 East Monroe...

The loop business owners won't even give out coffee in freezing conditions. They will let people buy it for people who are homeless, at least they did last Feb. Who knows what will happen now

Fuck Texas

Poor Texans. They have idiots running the show.

Texans must be saying to themselves "where is a Democrat when you need one?"

Meet Ups / Volunteer / CALL TO ACTION  -

So is anyone else having trouble signing up using nation builder to volunteer with Bernie's campaign? I've tried repeatedly with no luck and the point people who reached out to me quickly gave up after a few tries with no success. Not a good look.

Is there an alternate way to do this?

Right I just want sure if you knew they weren't the same organizations. I'm sorry you couldn't get the answer you needed. I think there are about 6 very active members of People for Bernie and I think they all have day jobs. They really are doing the best they can. They're so busy right now dealing with the kick off event. +Adam A

Likes punk rock. Hates punk rockers.

Voracious reader, but not into the classics. Dickens and Dostoevsky and Camus bore me to sleep. Give me a good history book or the biography of some old iconoclast. Or a science fiction novel.

Secular Humanist. Atomist. Animal lover (especially dogs). Obsessed with running. And beer.

Cute little place in Oak Park. Good food and friendly service. Decent brunch menu selection and great coffee to go with it. Worth returning to.

Quick custom pho and bimbimbap that you can get meat and egg free easy. Reasonably priced for downtown, always fresh and always delicious. Love Green Apple.

I always consider going here to be a real treat and am especially excited about having a change of work schedule, because with Sundays off, I can finally try their pozole. If you think a vegetarian menu would be severely limited, this restaurant needs to be your first stop. I've made it a point to try something different every time I come here (with the exception of the Tamale Oaxacaena, which is a MUST) and every time, I'm astounded by how good my order is. Far and away one of my favorite restaurants in the city and it's all because of the food.

Was very happy to find this place when I took a trip to Port Huron. Their in-house selection of brews was well informed and pitch perfect on the taste buds. I hope next time I find myself in these parts, to put a visit here at the top of my list.

Picture your favorite bar and mesh it with your favorite street food joint. Tons of ways to eat sausages and vegetarian versions of them all. The Kilig is in a class all its own. The pints are all top notch and well priced. The Vanguard is why Milwaukee. Period. Worth the trip every time.

Was surprised to first find this place in my neighborhood. Very glad it's there. Lots of delicious food specials and combinations and you always get a generous portion of everything which, for the price, makes it my favorite place in Norridge/Harwood Heights. Also - probably the best falafel recipe of anywhere I've tried in the Chicago metro area. Perfect mix of savory, crunchy and fluffy on the inside and you can tell they know this because you'll get a piece handed to you when you wander in. Best of all, they are really nice! I've always been treated like a valued customer and the people there are eager to be my food tour guides, when there's something I haven't tried yet. I haven't even mentioned the bakery... well done!

Big fan of the beers, and the Thai pizza is remarkable (but no sriracha? are you kidding?). I kinda wish they weren't so uptight about serving the pickled watermelon. Let me get a bowl of that to go! Came with the wings which.. .not my thing. But the real reason for going here is the beer and I don't know if there's a better mix of top tier beers anywhere on Earth than the seasonal selection of 3 Floyds. I couldn't not drink the Zombie Dust like it was my last ever and the selection of both beer and food on the menu certainly guarantees many returns.
