One of the most emblematic objects in Condensation Land is its Klein bottle. The Klein bottle originated as a scripting experiment in Second Life, and was subsequently migrated to Opensim, where it could be linked in a single 2889-prim linkset (quite a prowess, at the time - the viewer crashed at almost every attempt to link so many prims together :)).
Well, now we're preparing an exhibit for Avatarfest 2016 (thanks for counting us in), and (Plastichansa Bade) has migrated the bottle to mesh. Now the impact in the parcel is 2 (!!!) instead of 2889.
Some quick reflections:
* It's great to parcitipate in festivals, exhibitions, etc, because it forces you to revise and review your work, and, hopefully, to update (or at least maintain :)) it.
* There's no better tribute to one's work than to have it continued and transformed by somebody else (ty Plastic! :)).
* When I see parts of Condensation successfully migrated to mesh, I can envision a future in which Condensation is migrated to a technology completely different from Opensim. I hope that Opensim will continue to be developed, flourish still more and keep existing; but in case the technology stagnated, we would be able to salvage the fundamental parts of Condensation using another platform.
The change to the bottle has been documented in an update here: http://www.condensation.land/klein-bottle/ , and this very same photo has been also posted to my Flickr stream: https://www.flickr.com/photos/zonja/28618690193/
