Rimac Automobili's candidating makes stronger
The Croatian manufacturer is in competition mainly with Williams Advanced Engineering, the British firm which designed, built, tested and supplied the batteries to Formula E single seaters for the first season of the new fully-electric championship. The situation will remain the same even next year, but for season 3 and 4 the discussion around the sole supplier is currently open among the members of the organization and the 10 teams involved, since it can take up to 16 months to design a completely new power unit.
As revealed by "Electricautosport.com", for the year 2016-2017 the batteries used ought to reach 32 kWh, gaining then 50 kW power to 250 kW of maximum output. From season five onwards it is likely that the teams can build their own battery.
_It dated back to a few days ago the news by Williams Advanced Engineering according to which the British engineering company with its products cannot reach the promised 170 kW power. It is all downhill then for Rimac Automobili?
