I'm happy she chose to share this and didn't keep it secret.

I've always thought it is funny how buildings are measured.  As a building (height to the roof) 1 WTC is actually a little bit smaller than the sears tower, but it grows to it's impressive height only after you add the antenna - Ooops, sorry, Spire - on the top.  It feels a little bit like cheating.

Le Parfait is a great place to get a croissant, coffee, or light dessert and glass of wine or champagne, be it after brunch or after dinner! The interior is open and welcoming, and the service is great.

Harley's can be hit or miss at times, but if you level your expectations, you can still have a good time. The weekend brunch deal is decent, and the plates are plentiful. Taco Tuesday is also a good time, with margarita specials as well. As for BBQ, the brisket is good, and so are the Greens, but the ribs and mashed potatoes are so-so and nothing to write home about. The service is always great, now if only they can get some better beers on tap!

Patsy's is a NYC gem, and has some of the best pizza in New York. The crust is thin and slightly charred, the sauce is fresh and robust, and there's just the right amount of cheese. If you grab slices or a pie to go, you'll have to go next door, where the service is mediocre at best, but it's worth it. Cash only, so come prepared!

This is a nice place to grab lunch; the burgers are delicious! There's tables inside and outside to sit, and the service is very good. Be sure to get the smash fries and a shake, you won't be disappointed!

Breakfast Republic is a fun place to get an amazing breakfast or lunch, and it won't hurt your wallet two much. The French toast sampler is a must have, and you can split it between two people comfortably. The Apple Maple sausage is great, as is the home fries with Brussels sprouts and bacon. Service is polite and prompt, and the outdoor seats are comfortable.

Came here for brunch with my husband and a friend, and while we had a nice time, the food wasn't remarkable. The interior and the atmosphere is very welcoming, and the service is pleasant, but the food was just okay. The french fries were impossibly hard, and my husband's eggs were overcooked while our friend's eggs were undercooked. Perhaps dinner is better, but brunch was average.

Brooklyn Terrace offers some great views, but that's where the goodness ends. From the time you walk in and deal with the surly bouncer, you'll be lucky if you get decent service anywhere. Beyond Mr. Surly Muscles, the bartenders are dismissive and just overall indifferent and rude; I went here one evening with some friends and the bartender treated us as if we were tourists or each had three heads. If I want a good view and crappy service, I'll go to one of the many roof bars in Manhattan.
